it felt like our room could have been a bit cleaner. I dropped something beside the bed, and when I looked down to retrieve it, it looked like under the nightstand had not been cleaned for quite some time. The room had a few areas like that.

Hotel in itself is nice, quiet and in a convenient spot. Majority of the staff is really nice and helpful. We have stayed at this hotel numerous times, this stay for whatever reason was just not it. Our toilet was noisy the entire stay, like if it was flushing itself. Restroom door had red smear of I don’t know what, wasn’t wiped. There was hair and stains on 2 towels near sink. I requested housekeeping and only the room itself was cleaned. Restroom was not touched nor towels replaced, trash was full. Upon arrival we were giving a rolling cart so we can get our belongings to our room however upon check out, I sent my 15yo down to get a cart and was told we are not allowed to use the cart. I called front desk to ask for the reasoning and she confirmed we cannot use one. I asked what was the difference from being given one upon arrival but no check out. That I was a Mother with 3 children and needed of the cart and the inconvenience being caused. She sarcastically said well I can find a bell man’s to help you. I was already upset, I stated I was going to do it myself at this point and she continued with her sarcasm and said “ok, u have a great day.” Very unfortunate as this is my go to hotel. Again, hotel in itself and surrounding’s is very nice. Just bad timing I guess.

Nice, clean, good service
Great stay. Friendly check in and service. Not my first time at this location andninwas glad it was available for my short stay in La Jolla. One thing I didnt get a chance to mention on check out was that the coffee maker in the room was not working, really not that big of a deal, I'm particular about my coffee anyway and they do have an onsite coffee shop. ;)

This was no fault to the staff, they did their best and appreciate them. However, there was a convention with a lot of young families and there were 50-100 children running around without supervision, banging doors and running and screaming down halls at 7am, using the elevator for games and I had to wait 3 times to get one elevator. I wish there were stricter policies from Marriott on supervision of minors as this ruined my stay

The Front desk manager was extremely rude to my family. We were given accommodations for an extra day as we checked in as my son got sick during our trip. Front desk manager told me that we couldn’t stay the following morning but that he would make arrangements at a different hotel for my family. I was then told I had to make my own accommodations the morning I was checking out. He rudely agreed to make the accommodations he offered a day before only after he told me that all I wanted was for him to do the booking and that it was my own fault I added an extra day with hotel personnel and not with Expedia. Extremely rude to me and my family. I will follow up with hotel management and Expedia’s I return home from our vacation.
