The room was clean & modern, nothing fancy but a comfortable bed. No evening meals available when I visited but there are local restaurants close by. The breakfast was delicious, piping hot and the Full English included toast, juice, tea or coffee with grilled tomatoes, beans, mushrooms, black pudding, 2 rashers of bacon, sausage and eggs of your choosing. Also a nice lounge and bar area. Nice staff, all very friendly.

Very professional and friendly welcome, very clean, most comfortable bed I’ve slept in for a long time, nice quiet hotel despite being fully booked. Slight negatives - big crack on panel behind toilet and curtains a bit faded. Quite cool temperature-wise (which I personally prefer for sleeping) but an extra electric radiator was available. Overall a good stay 👍

The building is dated back to 18th Century but it has been modernised to meet today's standards with clean rooms, a lovely large comfortable bed, the bathroom water supply was hot, with good shower pressure. We had the breakfast and the host was a lovely lady who made us feel welcome the Full English was nicely done not overly greasy but more on the healthy side, compliments must go to the Chef. Finally the guy on reception was equally warm and most helpful he gave us advice upon where to eat and demonstrated how the late night entry system worked. Whenever we visit Wolvo again we will aim to stay at Ely House Hotel. Many thanks, the Hunts.

The Ely a lovely hotel
I’ve stayed here a number of times it’s always excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely ambience and a charming, very clean and comfortable bedroom. I’ll definitely stay here again when next in Wolverhampton 👍

The Hotel is situated on a busy street but the room we had was quiet. The Hotel is old but kept well for a 3 star. The breakfasts are basic but good old fashioned English which was great. Staff very helpful and the amenities are limited but fine. Don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed. Well priced for the area and convenience.
