Friendly and helpful
We arrived at hotel at 6:30am from our overnight flight and wanted to leave our luggage secured at the hotel so we didn’t have to keep up with it until the 3:00 pm check in time. They were gracious enough to give us our room then (6:30am) and that was such a blessing to us. It’s a wonderful place to stay while visiting Amsterdam, very short walk into City Center.

This turned out to be an excellent place to stay! Beautiful views of the harbor and magnificent boats as you enjoy a very delicious breakfast served by a friendly and helpful staff! Easy walk to anywhere. Rooms are very quiet and clean! Overall, just a perfect stay! Quite a find and highly recommended!

There was No AC! The elevator was a very slow small Added accessory to the building stairwell and we were on the 4th floor! The temp was pushing 90 F. One window (with No Screen!) Opened so we slept with Sweat and Mosquitoes. Miserable experience.

Good value, but flawed
We were quickly greeted and allowed to check in early, which was wonderful. The desk clerk was very personable and I was glad to interact with her. The room was small, as expected for an older building in an ancient city. There were a couple of issues. Notably, they have not installed air conditioning, which may not be needed very often in Amsterdam, but our room became a greenhouse in the afternoon, so all we could do is lay down and sweat. The windows were only open about 20° and, it did not have scree which resulted in a few insect incursions. The hotel was located very close to Several places that we wanted to go to. It was fun watching hundreds of people swim in the canal swimming pool right outside our window. However, that also meant that the partying at the park would often extend to midnight or late.

The hotel locates in the heart of Amsterdam, which makes your trip to the museums a lot easier. Cleaning crew and dining crew are very sweet. The front staff made jokes on me while I leave my stuff in the locker room. I asked is there a time limit I can store my luggage. He answered they will throw my stuff in the canal if over three months. I didn’t get that joke and it was not funny.

Best of the 5 hotels we stayed at in the Netherlands. Spacious, Clean, quiet, comfortable. None of the weird quirks of other hotels. Only drawback is it’s 1 km. from nearest tram stop. Would stay again.

Excellent hotel, clean and good location
This was a great base for exploring Amsterdam and had everything I needed - in a nice area, clean room and close to transport links. I found the staff to be welcoming and really helpful - I arrived before the check in time and they did everything they could to get me in my room as soon as possible. The hotel is in a really nice area too. The surrounding area has a really relaxed vibe and, as a solo traveller, I never felt unsafe. The Kattenburgerstraat metro station is about 5 minutes walk away, which is 2 stops (3 minutes) from Centraal Station. The room was plenty big enough, was clean and had a great view out on to the swimming canal. I couldn't recommend this hotel enough and will absolutely be back the next time I'm in Amsterdam.
