Short stay before cruise
We stayed at the Kimpton for 2 days prior to our ocean cruise. It is located within walking distance to the train station. It is a bit further to the ship port; we used an Uber. Breakfast was included in our rate and was an excellent buffet with many hot and cold options. There is a late afternoon reception, though we were always out at that time, so did not experience it. The room was large enough and bed comfortable. Its central location is convenient to restaurants and tourist sites. We will be staying here again next year for a river cruise.

Wonderful property, from lobby to room to restaurant and bars. Kindly kept our luggage until a room was available for check in, adjacent to metro stop and walkable to Centraal station. Good hotel, needs to improve its breakfast service
We had a great room and the hotel is in an excellent location close to the train station. Unfortunately there was a long cue for breakfast and unapologetic staff that put a bit of a bad taste in our mouths. I recommend staying here but skipping the breakfast.
