Good But Not Great
Check in was smooth and efficient. I was offered a complimentary glass of champagne upon arrival. Front desk personnel were warm and welcoming. The room was adequate size but I found it too dark. The soundproofing in this hotel is nonexistent. Noises from the adjoining room and hallway were aggravating. The shower drain had obviously been worked on before my arrival and the drain cover was left off the drain. The shower water valve knob was extremely difficult to turn and would have been impossible for some people to operate. The king sized bed was quite comfortable, but in my opinion a 4 star hotel should include a mini fridge in the room. Overall, I would rate the room itself as merely average. I had breakfast at the hotel and the food was very good. Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow despite the fact that very few customers were dining when I was there. The most outstanding feature of this hotel is the location. It is perfectly located just off Dam square with quick access to trams and the metro. I was fortunate to book at a very reasonable rate, but given the usual rate structure I would seek other accommodations if a special was not offered.
