This exceptionally crafted light-filled mountain home features 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. With authentic architecture that embraces the mountain living lifestyle of the Truckee & Tahoe area, the open floor plan inspires family interaction & entertainment, with effortless flow from kitchen & dining room to great room. The textures are authentic, and include wood floors, rough-sawn timbers, travertine tiles & granite countertops. Gas fire pit and patio located off the front of the home with views of NorthStar.

The fully equipped kitchen features stainless steel appliances and a large island to cook a meal the whole family will enjoy. Just off the living space is the Junior Suite that has a king size bed and ensuite bathroom complete with a large walk-in shower and separated tub (also on the ground floor is the laundry room and a half bath).

Upstairs you’ll find three more bedrooms. The Primary Suite features a king size bed, private balcony, large walk in closet and luxurious ensuite bathroom. The 3rd bedroom includes an additional king bed, connected by a Jack and Jill bath to the 4th bedroom-boasting a double bed, plus a bunk set (double top and bottom).

Schaffer’s Mill Exclusive Accommodations ski leases offer easy access to Northstar Ski Resort using our daily shuttle service as well as access to Basecamp, Schaffer’s slope side exclusive Ski Lounge at Northstar.

PLACER COUNTY SHORT TERM RENTAL ORDINANCE: Placer County requires we inform you of the rules and regulations relevant to your home's Short Term Rental Permit. These policies are strictly enforced and fines from the county ranging from $1,500 - $5,000 can be issued to guests for each violation.

PARKING: All cars must be parked in the garage and/or driveway. Parking on the street is prohibited at all times.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: There shall be no gatherings, events, weddings or other group functions on the premises with more people than the number of persons stated on the agreement.

QUIET HOURS: (9PM – 8AM) No sound from the vacation rental home shall be audible from the parcel line during this time. Noise shall be minimized in order that it not be an unreasonable annoyance, disturbance, or nuisance to neighbors.

LIGHTS OUT: All exterior lights that are not needed for safety or other outdoor use to the extent that such other outdoor use is not an unreasonable nuisance to neighbors must be turned off between the hours of 10pm-7am, seven days a week.

RED FLAG WARNINGS: Due to extreme wildfire danger all outdoor wood or charcoal burning is prohibited, including open wood burn pits, bonfires, campfires, and charcoal grills. Do not bring personnel grills or portable fireplaces. When a National Weather Service Red Flag Warning is in effect for the geographical area where the short-term rental is located, all sources of outdoor open flame (including gas/propane/pellet BBQs) are prohibited. It is your responsibility to be informed of Red Flag Warnings. You will see signs on the front of all fire district stations, hear about it on the news, see it on social media and hear about it on the radio.

TRASH: Please keep our bears safe by properly storing and disposing of trash. Do not leave food unattended in your cars our outside for any reason. Trash should be disposed of in the bear-proof trash receptacles located within the properties garage.
During your stay at this vacation home, you're just a quick walk from Tahoe National Forest. You'll find features like a gym and concierge services. A kitchen and 3.5 bathrooms are available in the vacation home.

Beautiful Home
The home was spacious, clean, and very comfortable with a large kitchen, family room, pool table, and plenty of large-screen TV's. It also had beautiful views.

The house is set up great. There wasn’t anything that we wished it had.
Renting the property was easy. The communication for check on was prompt. There is construction by the house so there was some construction noise during the day.
