Unfortunately, wouldn't recommend
Unfortunately this was a horrible stay. The king spa suite wasn't as described. The spa only occasionally turned on, there was no air-conditioning in the room, the facilities were old and run down (photos online are verrrrry old). There was only one staff on front desk the entire time. Our room key stopped working and it too over half an hour to have someone come to the desk to issue a new one. The pool had the automatic cleaner in it the entire time with cords everywhere, very unsafe for the kids. Really wouldn't recommend.

I have stayed at numerous Rydges Hotels and without doubt the Bankstown Rydges failed to meet the standard I have seen at other Rydges. The establishment is in dire need of refurbishment. Cleaning is sub standard. I entered my room to a sweet smell which I thought was linked to cleaning products. I then found a vape on the floor behind the bedside table. So much for “No Smoking” and room cleaning. You only have to look under the bed. Disgusting. Rydges should be ashamed to accept this standard. The only up side of my stay was the friendly, very helpful and professional staff, obviously let down by the overall standard of the establishment. Would not recommend this Rydges.

To be honest, I was far from impressed, the room was filthy, the dust was so thick, broken window latches and some missing, mould in bathroom in/out of shower and round tap fittings, towels were dirty. I took photos due to how disgusted I was. Room was partly refreshed when we went out, tea and coffee was not replenished nor were the cups cleaned (this has always been done in previous stays at other apartments) 2/4 towels were replaced. TV apps eg. Netflix was in Korean and staff were unable to fix this during our stay, they did give us a complimentary bottle of wine which was a nice gesture due to them being unable to fix. The whole place is run down and needs a good makeover and some serious maintenance. Definitely not the 4 star it promotes itself to be and the cost was far more than what I should’ve paid. Had I known about the 30 mins window to let someone know about the state of our room I would’ve been down there quick smart to have these rectified. I will not be back, I really do hope Rydges take some action I have seen previous reviews similar to mine with comments that action will be taken it seems these comments have gone unheard and unactioned. Don’t waste your $$ not worth it.
