This cozy 4 bedroom home is great for those looking to stay in the woods a short drive to Lake Tahoe and its beaches, hiking, wilderness land, and summer activities throughout South Lake. This house is surrounded by forest with conservancy lots on all 4 sides. There are two bedrooms upstairs with a full bathroom and two bedrooms on the main floor with a full bathroom -- making it a perfect place for a large family or two smaller families. The garage serves as a game area with a ping pong table, corn hole game and foosball! The upper deck gets lots of sunshine, great for hanging out all summer long complete with a dining table, gas grill, and lounge area.
What we love about this home is the serenity of the neighborhood and the fact that it’s close to hiking and biking trails and Lake Tahoe beach access off Highway 89. Upgrades of this home include new bedding, a brand new oven and stove in 2022, new king and queen beds, new Smart TV and more! Come take a pause from city life at Bear Pause!

- TRAVEL INSURANCE: We highly recommend that all of our lovely guests purchase travel insurance as we normally do not refund for Covid, smoke, fires, weather, snow storms, road closures, etc.
- WINTER TRAVEL ADVISORY: After the historic Winter of 2023, we recommend only 4WD vehicles with snow tires, tire chains and experience driving in the snow. Tahoe roads are icy and power outages are common.
- LATE CHECK OUT: Please let us know 24 hours prior to check out, if you wish to request a late check out. First hour is free then $25/hour after that, not to exceed 1pm. Please note our cleaners sometimes travel for up to 1 hour to clean this home so we ask that you please respect the 10am check out time.
- NO AC: Like most homes in Tahoe, this home does not have AC but we do provide plenty of fans.
- HIGH FIRE RISK: Lake Tahoe is a high-risk fire area. Fireworks, wood fire pits, smoking/improper disposal of cigarette butts and charcoal bbq’s are prohibited.
- BLACK BEARS: Black bears inhabit Lake Tahoe and are attracted to food and trash. Always lock your car doors, roll up windows and view from afar. Please do not feed our bears.
- TOWELS: We supply one bath towel, one wash cloth per occupant and then one hand towel per bathroom.
- SECURITY: Most of our homes have exterior-only security cameras and noise decibel monitoring systems to ensure we are in compliance with the county ordinance but we take our guests privacy VERY seriously. There is never indoor cameras. Most owners only look to see bears and snow levels at their homes :)
