I stayed here for about a week, and overall, it was a pleasant and comfortable experience. While the place has minimal amenities—no AC or fridge—it didn’t bother me much, especially since I visited during the winter. For the affordable price, it’s a good deal. However, if you’re expecting more, you might want to consider a pricier hotel.
The location is decent, situated in the outer Tenderloin area (which, according to ChatGPT, is an area to avoid when visiting SF). There are quite a few homeless individuals in the alley behind the hotel, but the front side is very strategic—close to downtown and public transportation.
My advice is to avoid walking around the back alley as it can be a bit uncomfortable (for me, it was very uncomfortable). That said, the hotel itself is okay, and the area in front is quite good overall.
