Would 100% stay again
Everything about the hotel is amazing, the location is easy and convenient to get to everywhere, especially bus stop 12 which seems to be used by most excursion services. The room was always warm and clean, the staff in the hotel were extremely helpful, I had forgotten an adapter for my chargers and the staff provided me with one free of charge. The food in the hotel is also very nice, especially the breakfast which is 100% worth it.

Hospitality- top notch. Other properties could learn from the staff here. Everyone was friendly and helpful, smiles all around. Breakfast options were delicious and covered a wide range of tastes. The only thing I would have liked is a ventilation fan for the bathroom, taking hot showers made the room feel a bit damp at times. Very minor, and wouldn’t prevent me from staying here again!

Exceptional Experience. Warm, Clean, Friendly.
The entire experience at Eyja Guldsmeden Hotel was exceptional. ALL of the staff was friendly and smiling. They were attentive to our needs, went out of their way to provide excellent recommendations, show us maps, discuss local tips and even follow up with us at later times (without solicitation) about questions we'd asked that they didn't know the answer to. When I casually mentioned one morning to a team member at the front desk that we'd been out late celebrating my partner's birthday, we arrived to our room that evening to find a chilled bottle of champagne and a had written birthday card form the team. The was the epitome of a 5 Star stay and we will absolutely return to stay with Eyja again.

Perfect last night in Reykjavik
It was our last night in Reykjavik after travelling the south coast for the last week. We stayed in room 407 which was beautifully designed with a four poster bed. There was complimentary tea & coffee near the bar area, which you helped yourself to. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from sea.

I feel like this place is a hidden gem. It is the cutest place, cozy atmosphere, fantastic rooms with all the expected amenities. We stayed here for a couple nights at the end of a long trip and it was welcoming and relaxing. Would absolutely stay here again.

Outstanding staff, very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly, very clean and in a great location. Everything you need to see is between 1-3 kilometers from the hotel. So for walkers for me and my family it was great. Grocery store around the corner was another plus. I feel it is an excellent value for the price of the room.

I enjoyed my stay at Eyja Guldsmeden. It’s very close to downtown, and walking distance to conveniences such as supermarket, coffee shops, food hall. Staff are professional and friendly - I got in at 8am and I was lucky, they already had a room ready and they let me check in at no extra charge. The room was clean and spacious enough. I would stay there again.
