We stayed at Alda Hotel for 7 nights and loved our time there. In addition to the aspects we liked marked above, they have an exceptional front desk staff that kindly takes care and with a warm smile of any questions or requests. One person stood out as an extraordinary hospitality ambassador, Ms Violeta, who is beyond extraordinary. If we return to Reykjavik we will definitely stay here again, mostly so we can enjoy her sincere customer service with a smile. I worked 30 years for a company that served the biggest attractions parks, five star hotels and destination management companies, from my experience of working with the top in the hospitality industry, I recognize greatness in Violeta who exceeds any such standards by far. So much so that she should be training others in this field. Also, the hotel offers a nice breakfast buffet which includes vegetarian options. If you need anything in your room that is not already there, just ask. They will do their best to accommodate you. Also, it is so convenient to walk around, go to bus stop #9 for excursions, and/or call a taxi. It is within walking distance from almost everything worth seeing in Reykjavik, or a non-expensive taxi ride from the others like Sky Lagoon and Perlan Museum.

The staff was my favorite part about my stay. Everyone was so friendly. Loved the sauna, and the lobby was a cozy place to spend a few hours after my long flight. Walking distance to fantastic shopping, sight seeing and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely location great customer service from morning and overnight crew members the hotel management need to offer more vegetarian food menus We came from NY awesome experience I would recommend my friends and family if they are traveling to Iceland to stay Alda hotel. Streets are so safe walk anywhere anytime nothing more I can ask god bless Iceland and USA too

Nice sizeable room with a good bathroom and facilities. Only downside was no kettle although they had a coffee machine that could do hot water, its not the same. Would also recommend some coat hooks, especially in such a cold area.
