Walk to the Eagle Express lift at Mammoth Mountain Ski Area in one direction and to the Sierra Star Golf Course in the other from this well-located condo at The Summit. This bright escape is ideally suited to year-round fun in Mammoth Lakes.

Whether you spend your days golfing or skiing the surrounding slopes, you'll be welcomed back home in the afternoons by a remodeled, open living space. The living room features a fireplace, a TV, and doors that lead outside to a balcony, while the kitchenette offers a breakfast bar and an adjacent dining room table. You'll even have access to a community swimming pool and hot tub on the grounds.

The cave…
location is great, but beware that even though this is 2nd level, the snow level is higher & ALL windows are boarded up. 3 nights in a cave was not enjoyable, really wish that we had been warned. Note that even though the very 1st pic that you see shows a balcony full of firewood, they do not provide firewood anymore - plan accordingly! The unit is good, not great - nothing fancy, but basic & functional - back to original comment, location is great. Property management is VERY slow to respond & will NOT respond to any chats thru VRBO. You need to google Vacacasa & find their number for texting, but be aware that they take at least 3-4 hours for any response. Also note that they provided 2 kitchen towels & 4 bath towels - that’s it - no pool/spa/sauna towels, no bath mat, no hand towels, no wash cloths; and when we asked Vacasa to deliver more towels, we were given a canned robot response & zero help. Note that if you do decide to chance staying here, since Vacasa will not provide any timely assistance, note that the parking instructions are a bit overcomplicated, especially when you can’t see any building signs or street signs - the structure that you need to park in, is clearly labeled A/B Building. Wouldn’t mind staying at this unit again, but Vacasa management made it that we wouldn’t rent thru any unit ever managed by them.

Reneging on Confirmed Booking but not refunding money
I booked this unit and received a confirmation from VRBO. They charged my account. Then Vacasa, or the owner of the property reneged on this confirmation saying it was no longer available. This is still unresolved and they still have not refunded my money. Is this "Book with Confidence?"

Double booked and NO support
I booked a reservation for mammoth lakes for 2/18-2/21. I received a confirmation email from VRBO when I booked on 1/29 and you charged me a fee for booking. The reservation also shows in my app still. I never received instructions on how to check in so I tried sending a chat to the host (vacasa) with no response. After multiple attempts, I called vacasa and they said they have no record of my reservation and it never went through and that I had to call VRBO. The property was double booked by someone else for the same dates and was no longer available to us. I tried calling VRBO and sat on hold for 45 minutes before I was connected to someone but then eventually passed to three different agents which took an hour and a half (case # 34805294), at which point the call disconnected and you never called me back. I called your customer service 3 more times, each time waiting on hold 30 minutes before the call “disconnected” before speaking with an agent. We also tried using your chat feature and the agent just kept telling us we have to contact Vacasa as the host before ending the chat without resolving our issue. Finally on the fifth attempt of calling, after waiting 45 mins for an agent and finally speaking with someone, you told us that since the reservation never went through and the host never charged us for the condo, you were unwilling to help us. You did NOTHING to help us find a new reservation somewhere else. I spent a total of 4+ hours on the phone waiting for you to fix this. We had to drive around and call hotels for over an hour, trying to find somewhere with availability over the holiday weekend. It was dark and temperatures outside were below freezing, we had driven 6 hours from home, and you did nothing to help us. We eventually found a new hotel on our own and ended up paying $800 more than planned because everything else in town was already booked. This was by far the worst travel experience and worst customer service experience of my life.

The unit was very clean. Furniture, kitchen, and bath all updated. Unlike some units, the furnishings were not secondhand or hand me downs. Very comfortable accommodations. Only would have preferred a king bed. Always appreciate the covered parking provided at the Summit.

Clean place comfortable master bed, pull out sofa in living room very soft and could feel the springs, Kitchen very small and not much counter space Walking distance to Eagle lodge, but not in ski boots, road is icy and slippery. Great place for 2 people
