Great staff, great location, great hotel
Great hotel in a great location. Easy walking distance to restaurants, bars, liberty avenue, commerce square, Alfama, St George’s castle. You name it, it’s within 10 minutes walk! Comfortable bed, good air conditioning, clean and high quality bedding and room in good condition. Very friendly and informative staff with great English language skills on the front desk, we arrived late in the evening and they reccomended an excellent local restaurant only 5 minutes walk away which turned out to be one of the best meals we ate during our stay!

Beautiful hotel, wonderful customer service, and perfect location! I can’t say enough wonderful things about the Madalena by the Beautique Hotels. Before we even checked in, they were in touch on WhatsApp to see if there was anything they could do to help with our check in experience! Our check in went so smoothly, we were able to get into our room a little early. Every bit of the Costumer Service was wonderful. I have never stayed at a hotel that has been so communicative! It was so reassuring to know they really cared about our stay. I went with some friends so I had my own room which was just wonderful, and the hotel staff also stayed in touch to help our checkout experience go super smoothly. They arranged airport transportation when we left, and every bit of our stay was just wonderful. The location could not have been better- we were steps from multiple cafes, shops, and squares. If I am ever in Lisbon, I will definitely stay there again. In addition, the lobby and hotel decor was just beautiful!

Room was more catered to a couple rather than 2 friends sharing as the bathroom was open, there was no private place to change or even hang a towel in the shower. Apart from that everything was excellent

A beautiful hotel that offers excellent breakfast. It is very nicely decorated. Rooms are as listed on the website with a minimalist flare and very good quality furnishing and a tv hidden behind the central mirror. I will sincerely recommend it.

Spontaneous Overnight Trip to Lisbon
Booked this hotel for an overnight trip to Lisbon, while holidaying in the Algarve, due to location to many of the sites in the ‘Old Town District’ We were not disappointed and hotel was very charming and unique in style. Due to being there for just one night, with intention of really just using hotel to sleep, we booked a standard double room so can only comment on this. On entering room it had a corridor with desk (handy if on business) with complimentary coffee machine and water. Bedroom was adequate for our needs and bed comfortable with electric curtains that added to the uniqueness. There was not much of a view in our room with internal views of building but we did not book it for this. Bathroom was finished in gold fittings with great shower cubicle and quality soap/shampoo… Breakfast was a buffet style in a very unique dinning area and was standard continental style but also offered omelettes if we wanted as well. I have travelled all my working and personal life, having opportunity to stay in hotels all over the world so comments below are just meant to be constructive: Carpet in room although clean had many stains and could do with a deep professional clean. Light switches in room were all flat and together so unless memorised quickly easy to put on all in middle of night if getting up to toilet😀 Shower cubicle in room bedded to be re-sealed at bottom as water draped out slightly even when door properly closed. Apart from above would have no problem staying again

Beautiful property. Near the Castle. Otherwise is a distance (climb) from the city. Very good breakfast. Clean rooms. Nice pool but requires a swim cap (for purchase). Great bar with terrace overlooking city.

I travel a lot (twice a month sometimes) and this is my first real bad experience with a hotel. The shower has a big gap so there's water everywhere when you shower. There was a humidity smell in my room as well as bad smell at times coming from the bathroom. I had to ask for the water and minibar to be refilled multiple times which was not done as advertised. Curtains were stained and did not close properly, there was always a gap. There are no mirrors except the one in the bathroom that is only useful for your upper body. Overused bedsheets as you could see them tearing at certain spots. No view from the window expect to many other rooms/habitations which means i couldn't open the curtains as everyone would see my every move inside. No facilities in the hotel whatsoever. Very normal breakfast for the price paid. To top it off, i found bugs in the room at multiple occasions. The staff apologized and said they will compensate me for this horrible experience. I was ignored and kept following up until i was told "we regret to inform you that no further compensation will be provided, as we believe it will not ultimately resolve the situation" whatever this means and had the audacity to tell me that it was normal to sometimes find bugs in the room... again i travel a LOT and let me tell you it is not normal at all especially when i also found them next to the coffee machine, next to things we consume.. VERY unhygienic and a health hazard. Positive aspect: Staff, location

This Hotel was great in every angle. Staff were very nice and friendly, great location everything close by. Breakfast was simple but good. Room very nice and moderate, bathroom very nice and clean. Highly recommended to stay there.
