I travel quite a lot, both domestic and internationally, and Madalena by The Beautique Hotels is right up at the top, one of the best boutique hotels I have stayed at. Location is excellent short walking distance to many tourist sites. The hotel is fantastic, very clean, high-end shower amenities, which is a nice touch. The staff is warm, professional, and very helpful with giving us tips for exploring the area. If there is one thing I could speak of, it's the slippery floor in the shower. The polish marble floor can be very slipper when wet. If there is a shower mat, that would be much less of a safety hazard for hotel guests and cleaning staff.

The wife and travelled Europe for 9 weeks and stayed at various hotels and all good. When we checked into this property the room smelled like cigarette smoke and the power in our room would fail as the breaker would pop and we had to reset it at least 6 times per day. It would be as simple as charging the phone. When I contacted the manager he told me this was normal. Thanks Dave and Diane.

The property is completely rundown. We had two rooms for several nights. One room smelled like smoke and air conditioning wasn’t working. The second room had a toilet that didn’t flush and a shower that didn’t drain. We asked to change rooms on the first night and we were told that none were available. There was no follow up at any point throughout our stay. We reached out after we left to share our experience and did not even receive an acknowledgment The decor is bizarre. The hallways have clear cupboards with replacement sheets and homemade stickers to mark the shelves visible through the glass.

This is a cool and stylish hotel in the perfect location to explore Lisbon. Lots of the sights are within a 10-15 minute walk and it is the same distance to all the nightlife areas. The staff are really friendly and helpful and the rooms are furnished to a high standard. We really enjoyed our stay here and can’t recommend it enough.

Great staff, great location, great hotel
Great hotel in a great location. Easy walking distance to restaurants, bars, liberty avenue, commerce square, Alfama, St George’s castle. You name it, it’s within 10 minutes walk! Comfortable bed, good air conditioning, clean and high quality bedding and room in good condition. Very friendly and informative staff with great English language skills on the front desk, we arrived late in the evening and they reccomended an excellent local restaurant only 5 minutes walk away which turned out to be one of the best meals we ate during our stay!

Beautiful hotel, wonderful customer service, and perfect location! I can’t say enough wonderful things about the Madalena by the Beautique Hotels. Before we even checked in, they were in touch on WhatsApp to see if there was anything they could do to help with our check in experience! Our check in went so smoothly, we were able to get into our room a little early. Every bit of the Costumer Service was wonderful. I have never stayed at a hotel that has been so communicative! It was so reassuring to know they really cared about our stay. I went with some friends so I had my own room which was just wonderful, and the hotel staff also stayed in touch to help our checkout experience go super smoothly. They arranged airport transportation when we left, and every bit of our stay was just wonderful. The location could not have been better- we were steps from multiple cafes, shops, and squares. If I am ever in Lisbon, I will definitely stay there again. In addition, the lobby and hotel decor was just beautiful!
