Amazing property

Amazing property located in a great area. Easy access to the marina if you need a boat rental, and easy access to restaurants by water or car. Van and Melissa are amazing hosts that have thought of everything. This was a great 4 day weekend stay and we will be back.

Cute little place 40 min from Auburn

We used this as our home base for an Auburn soccer camp. Pictures are accurate, but make it look bigger than it is, but still did well for the 4 of us. One of the 2 bedrooms is outside and below, but has it's own bath and patio, our teenage son loved it, but if you had little kids this definitely wouldn't be ideal. Just more of a so you know. Place was clean, owners were friendly, and it was a nice getaway. I would caution anyone wanting to get into the water there are 4 - 5 steps leading into the lake. The top 2 are dry and ok, but the bottom 3 steps are covered in algae and ridiculously slippery and impossible to use. Our daughter got hurt and there's no hand rail to help with these dangerous steps. It would be better if they just weren't there.

The only reason I’m giving this property three stars and not five is because it’s listed as three bedrooms. There are NOT three bedrooms. There are only two bedrooms. The master is upstairs in a nicely renovated detached garage type apartment with carport underneath. The main house is down closer to the lake and this is where the owners stay, Even though the garage apartment has been very nicely renovated there is only one bedroom with a nicely stocked kitchen and bathroom. They have a twin trundle outside the master bedroom next to the bathroom but it is in the main living area with no privacy whatsoever. The second bedroom is down the outside stairs and through a little enclosed porch. It is very small and not with the main living area. You have to walk outside and down the stairs which was a bit inconvenient when it was raining and needed to go down to that room. I would not suggest having two families stay here but a small family of four would be fine. The owner was very responsive to our needs and this place is great to stay at as long as you are aware of the accommodations. The location is great and has a beautiful view of the lake from the upstairs bedroom. I wish before I booked I would’ve inquired more about the property so that’s on me. We actually left a day early because it was a bit uncomfortable for the 6 of us.

Fantastic Spot on Lake Marin

This property on Lake Martin is perfect. I cannot think of anything that could’ve been done by the owners to make it better. It lacked for nothing. It was as described, and exceeded our expectations in every way. As an example, the boat dock had not only pre-installed bumpers and tiedown cleats, but also included bungee/elastic lines so that we were able to simply pull up to the dock and tie off without having to use any of our own spring lines. That is but one example of the owners going the extra mile. Without question, we will be back to this property.

Beautiful Place!

From the breathtaking view to the courteous hosts, this place has it all! We have stayed at many places along the lake over the past decade and this place is now one. Of our favorites. Very clean. Well stocked kitchen. Beautiful sunset view. Don’t pass this one up!!

Out adult party of 4 girls love our stay! Van and Melissa were fantastic and very accommodating. The entire house was clean and well appointed. The dock has easy access to the water and a perfect place to float for 3 days. We couldn’t have asked for more! Thank you for your kindness and hospitality.

Such a cute little cabin!

Loved the decor and it was very neat and clean. Sweet note with goodies awaiting our arrival. The upstairs was small but cozy. The master bedroom and bathroom was outside and downstairs with its own door with key. It wasn’t actually part of the upstairs area. It was an adorable little private area. There is a small dock where you can have a boat. Great location on lake! We enjoyed our stay with friends and had a wonderful time.

Lakeside Retreat

Amazing, relaxing stay at the beautiful Lake Martin. Host was incredibly welcoming and gave us great information. It’s a must to rent a boat and see the sights on the lake (Goat Island, Chimney Rock, Acapulco Rock and all the gorgeous homes). Excellent restaurants in the area to travel to by land or at sea. Sunsets are breathtaking. This little gem is a great getaway!

Unfortunately this is not a house as described. This is two separated rooms (not connected), one above the other that was simply a garage converted. We expected this to simply have a common sitting area; it does not have this nor a kitchen. They provide two chairs outside to sit at. Be prepared to be outside the entire time if you choose this location.
