Nice hotel, the view is worth it
The view of the river is amazing. It really did make up for the rest of the room's shortcomings. The shower was significantly smaller than in the pictures on the website. And for some reason, at night, the bathroom had a slight sewage smell (I imagine it had to do with the proximity to the river). The walls are very thin, so we could hear our neighbors very clearly. Our room was also right next to the elevator and you could hear the elevator running all day, especially in the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. The television would show "no information" on every channel, so it was difficult to navigate the channels. Overall, it was a nice stay, but for the price and location, I would expect a little more.

First time, but definitely not my last time here!
Although I travel to Chicago regularly, this was my first time at the Royal Sonesta Chicago Downtown. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, and I will be back! It is located in my favorite part of the city with easy access to great destinations. We mostly walked to restaurants and activities, but also traveled by bus. The room was incredibly spacious and the housekeeping was exceptional!

Completely rude staff at front desk. At least 3 or 4 people are unable to look at you even to response. They provide the wrong information about payment. Even this was promoted VIP, has to be the worst service, nothing was offer and I was placed in the worst room in hotel ( lowest floor next to elevator) Besides location, there is nothing good about this hotel.
