The customer service is excellent. The location is very close to all areas of interest, you can walk there. Our room was huge, practically an apartment. With a beautiful view! We visited the hotel restaurant, the food was very good and the service too. We loved The Royal Sonesta Downtown, we will definitely be back!

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff’s friendliness and attention to detail made me feel truly welcomed. The room was immaculate, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. The décor was modern yet cozy, and everything was thoughtfully arranged to ensure a relaxing stay. The bed was especially comfortable, and I woke up feeling refreshed each morning. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was peaceful and inviting, making it the perfect retreat. Every interaction with the staff was pleasant—they were always available to assist with anything I needed and ensured my stay was seamless. This hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. I booked the room with the 2 queens and the sofa bed as it was 4 of us however on arrival i was told that the room i booked wasn’t the one with the sofa bed despite the fact that it was advertised as such. The manager still did change the room for us to the one i thought i originally booked which was very nice. Shower cleanliness is never great in any of these hotels (hair in the drain, finding hairs on the sheets and the bathroom floor) ick hair is a pet peeve. However while using the bathroom in the middle of the night i saw a roach running across the floor… that is a first for me and absolutely gross. I’ve stayed here twice before and it was great so this hopefully is a one off and not representative of the overall cleanliness. Also disappointed with Expedia screwing up the room but very happy that the manager was able to rectify it.

Enjoyed a fantastic two-night stay at the Royal Sonesta. The spacious room with a stunning river view was a highlight. The location was perfect, with easy access to the city's attractions. While the self-parking was a bit of a hassle, the overall experience was excellent.
