While doing our research we had clue about the Chicago area - and we picked The Royal Sonesta Downtown - OM Heavens - it was a perfect spot - centrally located for all our tours - easy access to the riverwalk - restaurants - shopping - the Magnificent Mile - Millennium Park (the Bean) - The Gangster Tour, etc. , Smith & Wollensky Steak house (save that for your last night - you'll understand why when you do it - (it's always great to end a wonderful vacation on a super high note)
