Great hostel in a beautiful and convenient area of Chicago. We had a private room on the third floor with private sink and toilet. The shower was down the hall and clean and with adequate privacy and availability. Towels provided. Breakfast had sufficient variety and choices, but for picky or hearty eaters may not satisfy. Room was clean with individual a/c. Bed comfy. Staff friendly and helpful. TV in common area. Limited parking onsite at $32 per night. Street parking tight and I mean tight! 6 block walk to elevated train and we enjoyed the historic tree lined streets.

Breakfast was great, kitchen amazing, showers and washrooms were very clean. Would definitely stay there again, and the area is a bonus, so many bars, restaurants, cafes, and shopping

We booked a private room for three people with a shower, and it was located in the basement. In addition to a double bed, the room had two more bunk beds, which made it super uncomfortable. The lighting consisted only of cold white light, and combined with the dirty gray walls, the overall atmosphere was terrible. The picture and the actual room did not match at all; the renovation in the room is very old and shabby. The refrigerator was terrible, and there was no drinking water provided either. For breakfast, there was only bread, cereal, and very cold boiled eggs. The renovation in the common dining area is also very outdated. For the price of this room, I expected something better.

I've never stayed at a hostel before, so this was a bit different for us. The room was pretty small, we had a private room. The property and area was nice and it was pretty close in proximity to what we were doing. Parking can be an issue as you have to park on the street and find a place to park.

I loved that it was close to a lot of places to eat as well as a nearby station - my friend and I were here for Lollapalooza this year and it was a blast. Laundry is free here too!

You have to remember that this is an hostel, not a hotel. Therefore, the amenities are minimal, but fairly priced for a major city like Chicago. Would stay there again.
