I had high expectations because on paper this looks like a nicer resort than the one we stayed at several years ago but was so much worse. Our first impression was very good too because the gentleman that checked us in was exceptionally friendly and provided the best service of our entire stay. Then it was all downhill from there. Our original room was very dirty. Sheets smelled dirty like dirty hair, there was sand in the sheets, and a half drunken bottle of beer in the fridge. We then we transferred to three other rooms until we found one that was half decent. The staff at the restaurants were mostly rude. Several times we will stand at the check in desk with several staff there just ignoring us. All of the food was subpar at best. It was like high quality airplane food at best. The spa was very nice but a bit pricy. And the preferred lounge is not worth the upgrade. Overall I will not recommend. I’m just glad this resort was in Cancun because anything seems nice when it’s on Cancuns amazing beaches and water.

I simply loved it. The staff is super friendly, I was lucky enough to celebrate their Independence Day and the party was beautiful. The beach is a dream, calm and warm. Lots of pools and you don't need to make an appointment for the restaurants. The food is very delicious. There's nothing I didn't like. I highly recommend it. I would go back without thinking twice.

Too many rooms for the small property. It gets crowded too fast. Its nice but hard too find a spot on the beach or around the pool in the afternoon. Everyone very friendly but the girl on the cafeteria. They enforce proper atire at some restaurants which its good. The guys at the pool super friendly and happy to assist you in any way.

I really enjoyed my stay, the property was beautiful and there were many activities to do in the area. The food was better than I expected, especially the Asian restaurant. There were two main pools, a hot tub and lot of bars on the first floor. The only aspects we didn’t like were the maintenance going on at the time as it was loud in our room and being woken up by the hallway floors being cleaned on our floor very early in the morning. Other than that we definitely recommend Dream Sands to someone looking for a family friendly resort with good food and service, as well as things to do in the area, such as jet skiing, kayaking, sailing, parasailing etc.

Terrible because I got food poisoning the first day and couldn’t enjoy my vacation. I was feeling extremely sick. Room next to mine was loud most of the night hard to stay asleep at night.
