Booked this hotel for me and my kids as their Christmas gift, Got to the resort, got checked in and was greeted by one of the workers who helps books excursion's and was immediately being told about another hotel and that all we had to do was go to this hotel and listen to some kind of sells pitch to get 2 free massages and to help boost her bonus! REALLY......NOT what I was expecting when we arrived!!! I booked the master family suite which was good, however not all 3 bedrooms has the bathrooms in the rooms! The 2 bedrooms with the king size beds had private bathrooms, the bedroom with the 2 queen beds did not! The 3rd bathroom was by the door so you have to go through the "dinning room". Maybe it would not be too bad if the "dinning room" was both a living room and dinning room. Not a lot of places to sit and be able to just relax outside of the bedrooms. They should add a loveseat and couch for more places to sit. ALSO, there was a LEAK in the ceiling and it was dripping on the table in the dinning room so we had to make sure to not leave anything sitting there that would be ruined. If you get room 121 I hope the leak gets fixed properly and not just patched which is what it looked like they did several times.

We loved our stay at the Cancun Bay Hotel. All the staff took great care of us. They offered tour packages (including a trip to Isla de Mujeres) and we loved everything! My husband and I will definitely be back! We would especially like to thank Alexandre Sanches (front desk agent) who checked us in and out, he provided an extraordinary service!

One day it rained heavily and the water was leaking into the room through the ceiling and door. We contacted the front desk and no one came. An hour later went to the front desk and they stated they will send someone but no one came. After an hour or two someone came in and did a very basic cleanup but nothing much and left the mess for 2 days. We got late check out for complimentary.

This property was very nice and a great price. There was a few things that weren't accurate on the website. The number of restaurants is only two, unless you count the ala carte options poolside and this property does not have a hot tub. Which I love, so I was disappointed. The swim up bar did have a bubble feature but most of the jets were broken. This pool is also located in a more shady area of the property, so the water is very cold. Our room was very nice and we had lots of room. The staff is very nice and helpful. Of course it does not come without them nagging you all week to attend a 'tour' of their sister property. All in all we loved our vacation and would stay here again. I am a bit of a 'foodie' and would have enjoyed something other than a buffet.

Overall, the resort is what I expected. It's very clean and the customer service was great. The staff is very professional and courteous. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. However, the showers are horrible. We changed rooms because of the showers and the second room wasn't much better. They make entirely too much money to not update their shower heads.

This resort requires you to have an open mind when it comes to the dining in the buffet area. We made two dinner reservations one for the BBQ and one sushi (both excellent)They have a Pina colada dining area by the pool and the food is great. (They have chicken fingers that were delicious that we discovered on the last day) The selection at the buffet is not a wide spread like we are use to when traveling but what you can put together if you use your open mind to what is being served you can have an excellent meal. They will make any kind of eggs you like, omelette, sunny side etc. Again like I mentioned if you can put a meal together you will have a great meal. We stayed in the family suite which needs small upgrades. It accommodated my family of 7. They have 2 California king size beds and two twin and two full size. They do not have a microwave but the fridge was stacked with drinks. The hotelā€™s property is 8/10. They have an area where bats fly and the bats poop is on the floor and splattered on the wall and itā€™s visible. (We saw one bat at night, nothing to worry about. It was just the seeing the poop all over the floor and wall was disturbing. That is why I give it a 8/10. The staff is ALL excellent and friendly. There is a taxi guy outside his name is Freddy he is trusty worthy. He drove me and my family to dinner and when we were done he picked us up, drove us to the market and brought us back safely. There is a walking distance ATM. Local stores. Have Fun!!

The property wasnā€™t that big but it was beautiful. The standard room was very small you couldnā€™t walk without banging into the furniture. The shower was the size of small closet amd it had a very small curtain. My room was upgraded and I got a two bedroom room. Beautiful and big. The water from the shower was cold. I have to praise the staff. They were excellent. The staff was very nice and their service was excellent. They cleaned my room everyday. In the dining room and pool staff was excellent. They were constantly asking if I needed anything. The food from the hotel was very good . The only complain I have itā€™s the entertainment. They donā€™t have shows. They only have karaoke and a singer to perform three times a week. The singer was great. The hotel itā€™s at the end of zona hotelera away from others hotels and everything. Nothing around! You have to take a bus to go anywhere. The beach was small but it was kept nice and clean. There were plenty of chairs and umbrellas around to seat and the servers were constantly bringing you food and drinks if you asked. Excellent staff and service. There was fun by the pool with games, Zumba, volleyball, etc. Again I praised the staff. Excellent service!

Staff was great. Enrique, Javier, Alejandro in particular were really great with our kids, but all the staff was friendly and helpful. The activities like kareoke and pool Zumba were fun. The hotel is older and was undergoing some maintenance but itā€™s kept really clean and having the family suite was great for our family. The food was good and there was variety so my kids all found stuff like liked. The hotel is located pretty far away from areas where they have activities and excursions. It was about a 2-3 hour drive to Tulum so we ended up just hanging out at the hotel most the trip. Overall we had a great time and it was good value for money!

It was mediocre from the start. Typically if you arrive before check-in you can still use the pool and get drinks. They would not allow us to. We had to go to the beach and wait so that was a bummer. We were travelling with our four kids so they were hungry from flying all night. Eventually I asked can we have something to drink and they let us, but weren't exactly thrilled. I was told no bottled water. The food choices were slim. We did like the BBQ dinner, but it was the only meal everyone ate and actually enjoyed it. I was shocked no guacamole at the whole "resort." No mimosas before 11- not a huge issue but such a bummer because it was my birthday and I was looking forward to it. We had the grand suite and it is severely damaged. We travel to Cancun annually and like the area, but this was collectively our least favorite trip. It was still Cancun and vacation so we made the best, but sure wouldn't choose to stay here again. Not really impressed at all.

Husband and I stayed for 6 days for an anniversary trip. We had a wonderful time. It's not the biggest and best all inclusive, but we were willing to look past some minor inconveniences. The staff was excellent, Alejandro and Alex were excellent bartenders, had us laughing and drinks always in our hands. Check in/out was seamless, the concierge was happy and helpful. The room was clean, cool, and comfortable. The bed and pillows were great. The ferry to Isla Mujeres was a quick 10 min walk. The food was plentiful and a great selection. We ate dinner down the street most nights at the roadside taco stand which was delicious. The Temptations hotel next door was always crazy loud and foam flying everywhere. We suggest bringing your own packable towel, it came in handy for excursion, as well as we never had a facecloth, hand towel, or bath mat in our room. The hotel always seemed to be low on beach towels and clean cups for auga fresca. Very minor. We enjoyed the quiet pool in the center of the hotel over the beachfront one that had alot of children. Construction was being done beside that pool but we did not mind. We did not use the reservation restaurants during our stay, we were more than happy with the cafeteria. Easy taxi ride down to Coco Bongo area, that place is crazy! There's always cold drinks in the room fridges, and bottled water that was a great perk. We definitely recommend this hotel, and would consider it again next year!

The staff are excellent!!!! Alex and Alejandro go above and beyond to make you feel special. Everyone is so friendly here. The rooms are beautiful and clean. Will definitely be coming back and bringing my family. The only thing i would ask to change is having more Mexican food options, less international buffet
