Budget hotel in a good well-equipped area. The receptionists were helpful and polite. The single room was small but clean and had a TV, wifi and ensuite how shower and toilet.
The hotel is noisy and the walls are thin so you can hear the elevator and doors slamming. You get used to it and it’s not throughout the whole night But I did say on a Tuesday to Thursday, so not sure how the weekend is
Overall the hotel is a no frills hotel but does the job and is a very good area With a metro close by supermarket, good restaurants.
The hotels in Amsterdam really expensive and this one isn’t and if it’s for a few nights, I would stay again.
The staff was very nice and helpful, it was in a great location that made it walkable to the res light district and other hot spots of Amsterdam. However, be aware that european hotel rooms are alot less luxurious as american hotel rooms, so as long as you"re aware of that, you won't be disappointed
Friendly, helpful staff woth lovely cat. Property looks derelict and filthy from the front. Right on a big traffic junction. However I was surprised how a lot quieter it was inside. But you can still hear the pedestrian crossing and cars. Be ready for the city tax on arrival, 3 Euros a person a night. Yes, someone spilled bleach on the carpets but it's ok for just sleeping. Safe neighbourhood woth lots pf eating options. Tram and metro just there!

It was very convenient in terms of transport as we were 2minutes from a train station. There was a grocery store within minutes walking distance also, and a great market within walking distance too (Albert Cuyp). The staff were polite, there was a shared fridge and microwave which was useful. The rooms were small but had shelving storage which was great to unpack luggage into. Right next door to Heineken experience if that’s something you’re interested in. Room came with a fan which was useful. Could do with better pillows - they were more shaped like couch cushions
I traveled with my parents, my husband and 2 children.
We were surprised to see grafitti over much of the front entrance. The reception area was dark inside so I sent my husband to check it out first before we eventually went in. The check in process took some time, and we learned we couldn't keep food or beverages in our rooms.
The room is as photographed for the most part, but I did see were brown stains on the wall next to my bed. Also i wished the bedsheet was fitted.
I will probably stay in the museum area for our next trip.
I stayed at the top level which was extremely hot and there were minimal solutions to reduce the discomfort. The receptionist did not offer to come up to help. Otherwise the rest of the experience was pleasant

Very enjoyable lady at the desk was awesome with us such a nice helpful lady
Overall it was a great 5 night stay! We were worried given some of the terrible reviews, but alas the place is not advertising itself to be any different than what it is. It is a small room, but for us who were out all day and only back at night, it worked fine. En suite bathroom of course. Staff not overtly friendly but always present and helpful.
There is a community cat called Cleopatra who enjoys a nice petting (which we found to be a great highlight) and the location (next to the Heineken Brewery) can’t get any better. Both check in and checkout worked very smoothly.
We had booked this hotel in advance, excited for Amsterdam and our stay, but I should have checked the reviews first.
Based on the current and consistently poor reviews on various platforms, we decided not to even go there. The descriptions of the rooms, cleanliness and bed bugs turned us entirely away and we found other accomodation as we just couldn’t risk getting our bags contaminated for the rest of our trip.
Good spot. Comfortable beds. No AC. So in the summer rooms very hot. Windows open was a nice breeze but the streets of Amsterdam. Are so loud till 4am. Good luck sleeping.
Dreadful smell in the hallway and room, mixture of damp & vomit and something rotting, slept with the windows open all night.Very basic room no tea/coffee making facilities, it’s a room with a bed, pillows not clean. Whole place needs updating and cleaning. However did actually have a good nights sleep comfortable bed , hot shower. Good location
