Location Trumps Drawbacks
Upsides:
- Unit is in the building directly next to the slopes, and is on the correct floor to access the trail to the base area without catching the elevator.
- Kitchen was well-equipped.
Downsides:
- While there are shades on the two windows, the enormous sliding glass door to the balcony has no such covering. Don't plan on sleeping in.
- The unit's toilet is very old and might be the most anemic appliance I've ever encountered. It struggled to get rid of even a few sheets of single ply, and so I ended up using the one in the gym locker room in the adjacent building for most of my stay.
- I hope you like punching in the nuclear launch codes every time you want to go anywhere. Even getting into the aforementioned locker room required a 13-digit input.
Your Mileage May Vary:
- The pillows on the murphy bed are incredibly thin and I ended up having to stack several to get the proper neck support.
- While the kitchen is well-equipped, the array of utensils is all over the place. There were somewhere in the neighborhood of 14 knives to go with just 6 forks, 10 plates to go with just 2 bowls, and two tiny coffee cups.
- If you plan on cooking be prepared to work around dull knives and warped pans. It's unfortunately clear that past guests have run everything through the dishwasher, including the utensils, such as chef's knives, that should have been washed by hand.
- The bathroom is weirdly dark. I left the door open while showering so I could see what I was doing.
