Good, no-frills stay

The room was small, the floor was tile, which we didn't expect. The beds were comfortable. It's a good, inexpensive, no-frills motel with a great location. It's close to the beach, boardwalk, and restaurants.

Not a bad stay, for the price. Very convenient location. There was a family dollar store right up the block and the boardwalk was in a 5 minute walking distance from the motel. Only real complaint that I had was that the little fridge in our room didn’t work too well, i didn’t make a fuss about it because I didn’t have much use for it anyhow, but I did tell the front desk while checking out. They said they I should have mentioned something earlier and they would’ve made fitting accommodations. I explained to them that I wasn’t going to put it in much use, anyhow, but I was letting them know for the next guest. Overall cleanliness was acceptable. Staff wasn’t too fussy either. I’d stay again.

The pool needs to be cleaned. Kids running around everyone smoking marijuana. Definitely not family style . Needs a makeover . Door didnt lock properly.

Our original room had a broken window that was covered with cardboard. We were permitted to change to another room, which had mold in the bathroom ceiling with water damage from floor above. Both rooms had dirty floors. Thankfully we were only booked for 1 night, since they don't give refunds.

Skylark/Brittany motels DON'T STAY HERE

I registered for 2 guests. We decided to take the grandkids. I was honest at check in and told the new number. The front desk lady was rude and charged me $113 extra for a 1 year old, 2 twin 4 year olds, and a 6 year old. The rude front desk said they're equivalent to grown adults. We were moved to a sister hotel down the road Brittany hotel and given a suite. (laughable) The room wouldn't have accommodated 7 grown adults. Both hotels are run down. Save your money. I spent $255 for a crappy one night stay. Go to a nicer hotel. I was disappointed by the rude front desk lady and being charged money for young children. DON'T STAY HERE.

Skylark is a decent place for the money. My room was small for 4 of us. Room was clean . Close to the boardwalk. Women at front desk was very nice. Id stay again if it was just me and my wife .

The help that I got from the front desk looking for the AC control. The friendly people in other rooms. I like more room to park my SUV it was a little to close for my lease vehicle

When people check in it would be nice it the hostess shared important information like the wifi assess. The wifi was difficult to access because of how it was written. Try typing it and giving it to the guests when they arrive. Lastly the place needs some external love.

Midweek Shore Getaway

Typical Jersey shore motel. Staff was very friendly. They allowed us to check in a little early which was really helpful. Pool is pretty small, but the kids still had fun. Kitchenette had basic needs. Recommend bringing paper towels and napkins.
