I was expecting a good hotel based on internet booking, what I discovered was an exceptional hotel that I would love to revisit. It was spacious, staff helpful, and the Bistro's elegant breakfast a perfect way to start the day.

The property is kind of older which is what attracted us to it along with the name. The WiFi would not work, the water was hot and cold amongst other things. The staff was nice though

I have been staying at the prperty for the last 8 weeks Two weeks ago there was no heat in the bedroom they tried to fix the problem but really it never got warm. Last week i stayed at a different property which was fine . This past week i decided to stay at sleepy hollow again and agin there was a heating peoblem in the room, Im not going to stay there the rest of the winter

We stayed during the Halloween parade and related events. The property is very walkable, about twenty minutes from the downtown area. The hills might be treacherous for those with strollers or wheelchairs, but it was very accessible for those who can walk comfortably. Parking at the hotel was very accommodating, and that was useful as parking downtown seemed like a nightmare. We got one of the larger, premium rooms, and it was pleasant. Bathrooms were very nice.

Bar/restaurant was terrible from food/drink selection to service. I had to get out of my seat to go get help twice. Ordered rare steak, got well done. Given free appetizer but never served. Nothing but low grade american beer. Only single wine selection, Cabs. Only red Cab alternative was not available. No draft beer. TVs is bar only played infomercials and hidden behind weird blue screen which made them hard to see. No lunch service. Coffee machine in lobby never had cups. Dripping sound in the ceiling. Loud refrigerator in room. Labels on shampoo botels are not ADA compliant, very hard to read without glasses, and containers were super small. Room thermostats are locked. You cannot change the temperature at all. I travel for business and this is by far the worst hotel i have stayed in for years.

Great stay
This is our go to hotel when visiting NYC. Clean, comfy and friendly staff. POOL IS CLOSED FOR RENOVATIONS. Disappointed this time around as the pool was closed and it was not advertised anywhere. The pool is a big hit with the little ones.
