We had such a wonderful and relaxing weekend this past weekend. We were looking for some place to go and celebrate our anniversary and am so glad we chose to stay here. The hotel, staff and restaurants were amazing. We are looking to bring our whole family there for a family getaway since there are so many things everyone can do, especially keeping our 6 grandchildren occupied and happy!

We had been to the resort in the past and it was wonderful. I can't say that this time. The dining choices were few, food was just ok, My husband and I both got sick from the pizza which tasted like someone put sugar in the sauce. When we got in out room we were going to put drinks in the fridge, it was off. We tried to turn it on for a couple hours, it didn't work at all. In the bathroom the ceiling fan vent was covered in "fur" from the dirt. Little to do. Staff at the bar in the hotel was very nice. 20.00 for breakfast buffet that was rather limited and not more than average. This was a disappointing trip from our last stay.

Oglebay Resort is an amazing area with all its beauty and views. We enjoyed our stay tremendously. We were not "wowed" by staff as they tended to be distant and not willing to help us when we had an issue with billing.

The resort itself is very nice.. a little confusing getting to our room but we found it. My biggest complaint is if there is stuff going on there parking is limited . 3 parties going on in the pool area… no one from the hotel there and that pool area got trashed… not the hotels fault but had they had someone keeping an eye on things it wouldn’t have been so bad.. not the hotels fault but unsupervised kids doing Knock Knock ditch at 1am.. Our room was in the Bird Wing.. clean just outdated.. not sure we will stay again

The public areas are very nice. Decorated for Christmas. However our room needs updating. Bathroom has no heat and has mold on the tiles. Heating in room is either cold or hot. The restaurant is expensive with a limited menu.
