This custom-built, three-bedroom Waldport vacation rental is right on gorgeous Alsea Bay, with stunning panoramic views of the bay and ocean! With a Blu-ray player, WiFi, and a large flat screen TV, you'll have entertainment amenities to keep you occupied in case of rainy weather. And on sunny days, you can enjoy a five-minute walk right to the Pacific Ocean, as well as gorgeous water views from inside and out!

Home to a popular crabbing industry, Alsea Bay and Waldport also boasts a sleepy, small-town feel undiscovered by many Oregon Coast travelers. From here, you're only a 15-minute drive away from Newport - visit the Oregon Coast Aquarium or see a show at the Newport Performing Arts Center in Nye Beach, before returning home to your delightful Waldport retreat for a moonlight stroll on the uncrowded beach!

Inside your two-story Shideler House getaway, the spacious and wonderfully designed living room is a great place to watch the sunset or TV (there are cable and a Blu-ray player, as well as a movie library and a Wii). Additionally, you'll have a wood-burning fireplace (bring your own wood) to create the perfect vacation ambiance. For a quiet evening in, you can borrow a book from the vast collection and spend the evening reading, snuggled up by the fire.

The well-equipped kitchen is bright and airy, with a refrigerator, stovetop/oven, dishwasher, coffeemaker and grinder, microwave, and everything you'll need for cooking and baking projects. And when you're ready to sit down to a meal, the dining room table seats six guests for dinner with a view.

This main level also contains the spacious, maritime-themed master bedroom, complete with a king bed, private bathroom, gorgeous water views, and deck access. This outdoor space is a lovely setting for morning coffee, grilling in the late afternoon, or just sitting and gazing out at the water. You'll also have a fire pit on the deck so don't forget to pick up some marshmallows to roast!

Upstairs, in the two bedrooms, you'll find a king bed or two twin beds if you prefer in one and a queen in the other. Both rooms have large closets and water views, with an additional TV and DVD player in one of the rooms. There is also a full bathroom on the upper level (as well as the master bathroom and half bath downstairs). This Waldport vacation home will sleep up to six guests very comfortably for a wonderful Central Oregon Coast escape!

While you're here, you can borrow crabbing and clamming gear and enjoy direct, private access to the bay and beach! And don't worry if you get dirty while out having fun - your Waldport getaway even has a washer and dryer for doing laundry when you run out of clean clothes.

On evenings that you don't feel like cooking, you can head to Azul Mexican Restaurant for a plate of tacos al pastor or local-favorite Carol's Cafe for a hearty, home-made breakfast. You can spend your day beachcombing along the sand or visiting the small handful of shops in town, like restaurants and the beach, many are walkable right from the house! But really, you might find that one of your favorite activities is lounging on the back deck, enjoying the fire pit patio table and taking in a vibrant, colorful sunset.

This Oregon Coast vacation rental right on Waldport's Alsea Bay is a gorgeous vacation getaway for unwinding, exploring the coast, and just taking it easy. With popular activities like river fishing, hiking, and even boating around the bay (kayak and boat rentals can be found right in town), Waldport offers something for everyone.

You can even bring your lovely dog with you!

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Not for the mobility challenged.
Would br great for families with kids. Spacious and clean with nice selection of games. My fault it didnt work for me. Isaw stairrails in front and tought no big deal, but only extremely experienced cane users should even consider staying here. The exterior stairs are steep, wooden ,and open backed. there are 7 carpeted stairs inside for bedrooms. These stairs have partial rails only on the right side so no railings coming down. The stairs off the patio to the yard are steep and wooden with rails only on the right side. The view of the ocean is pretty far away, but you can see the white of the waves crashing. It's too far away to hear the ocean from the inside which was disappointing , Gamilies would be cozy here, but we cant return. Aplus for vacasa was that the tv didnt work and thhey sent someone in time to fix it before football came on. Shout out to Andy who fixed it promptly.

You won’t get the basics like toilet paper, and paper towels. The place was filthy dog hair everywhere. definitely needs a deep cleaning.

The property was just a described. Large open living area was perfect for relaxing and watching the water. This house fit our needs perfectly with enough room for 5 adults and an infant. Very comfortably furnished. Looking forward to staying again sometime.

Big house with great views!
This house is very spacious with all the amenities you would ever need. The view was amazing with water front access to bay. Definitely will be staying here again. Only down fall was the downstairs king bed has been overly used and is in desperate need for a replacement. My back is not liking me!

Wonderful home, terrible communication with Vacasa
Located on the Bay, excellent waterfront view. Unfortunately, small park located next door where the homeless hang out. Cleaning staff missed a couple of "pet markings" on the wall and baseboard upstairs. Suppose to be a second key to the home that was missing. Contacted Vacasa twice requesting a second key and was told this would be resolved promptly. Never heard back and never received the second key. This caused some problems due to having two adult couples doing different activities. Overall a wonderful home and loved the stay.

Second home on the bay
Wonderful home with all the comfort for indoor lifestyle and the sound if the ocean AB’s desks to sour you outdoors. Communication with property manager was good. Gave it 4 stars instead if 5 only because the yard had not been tended to in months. Grass was 2-3 feet high so we couldn’t use it much for dogs or ourselves. I assume help was hard to find. Last stay yard was wonderful. We hope to go again.

FANTASTIC HOME AWAY
Beyond expectations and we use a VRBO 3-4 times a year for few days away for over 10 years. This beach house was best ever. The views, the cleanliness, the master bed itself downstairs so comfortable, the kitchen easy and nice to use, home easy to keep warm, neighborhood quaint, marsh life spectacular. The home has all the feel of a family home with history to invite you into the fold. We had our two dogs and the deck is safe. Only concern was the back yard, although fenced all around property does have access under the house which then could allow street access to a small escape artist( which we have). So I just kept my mini poodle on leash if in back yard. There was some public noise of minimum right to its south. Home is next to public beach access. Yet, it’s a very small and clean public site. Also note this has view of ocean but is a bay. The turf is muddy more than sandy. The bigger beaches are close by south and north. Waldport is greatest spot. Will definitely go back as often as we can. Thank you Betty Sue.

Great location, beautiful view
Wonderful view, tons of space. Only thing we could say was that the front room could use a rug and more comfortable seating as we had a girls weekend and just wanted to sit around and chat and it was a tiny uncomfortable. But that's literally us nit-picking. Just a beautiful spot. Would have loved the option of early check in or late check out if there was no one scheduled before or after us, but the wouldn't even entertain the idea. Literally in walking distance of the entire tiny town of Waldport, would definitely go back!

Oregon Coast Getaway
What a great house and location. We spent a week on the Oregon coast, just relaxing and sightseeing. We enjoyed the quiet of an off-season vacation. The property was well stocked with everything you need. Our dog especially enjoyed the private backyard. The weather was stormy off and on, but that really didn't matter since the views from the great room were really spectacular. We spent many hours watching the seabirds and harbor seals frolic right outside our window. We enjoyed this house so much, and the area, that we are looking forward to returning next year. Thanks for a great vacation!

Anniversary
Beautiful house and location. Perfect setting for our 50th anniversary trip. The house was comfortable and the views amazing. The directions regarding parking need updating as there is clearly a gravel parking pad in front of the house. The neighbors confirmed this. The state police seemed to be watching the public wayside next door for cars left overnight. Also, we loved that the kitchen was marked where everything goes, but there were missing glasses. These were gone before our arrival. We also wanted to have a fire, but were unsure if the stove was safe. The insulation around the doors is hanging loose. These few small problems were insignificant to what is a lovely house where we would love to stay again,
