Space for All

Every one was comfortable and had a space to sleep. The grandchildren enjoyed the pool. Had to make them get out, when it was time for bed. Enjoyed the stay. Thanks for the cold master bedroom.

Booked for 3 nights, left after 1.

1. House smelled strongly of smoke. My wife is allergic. Sneezing and runny nose as soon as we walked in. 2. Big yellow mop bucket in the kitchen full of dirty water. Not good for a 2 year old to find. 3. Kitchen was dirty to say the least. There is literally grease running down the cabinets face. 4. FOUND A PAIR OF UNDERWEAR ON THE DRESSER IN MASTER BEDROOM…with a ROACH ON THEM. (I know it sounds crazy but it’s true) 5. Light in the kids room would not work. 6. Light in living room would not work. 7. Tv worked when we arrived, but the next morning they could not connect to the internet. Very poor internet connectivity. 8. pool had a layer of scum on it. I will say the owner provided us good directions on how to heat the pool. There are more items I could list but I think you get the point. We arrived at 11:30 pm to a stinky dirty home, (we tried to leave immediately but could not find a room at that time of night), we left the next morning and rented two hotel rooms to accommodate our family. It was our sons 4th birthday and we had plans at Wild adventure for the weekend. This was a super bad start to the weekend. (We ended up have a great weekend after spending an additional 800 bucks on rooms for the weekend, yes I’m still a little ticked about this!) I contacted the owner and told him what happened. His initial Response was that I should have told him. Well, what in the world would he have done at 11:30 at night to fix a strong smoke smell? Maybe he could come move the dirty underwear…I honestly think he had his chance to give us a clean house. That is an expectation that should always be met…He has yet to resolve the issue in any way. He said “I need to check with the cleaning crew”. This was 3 days ago. I tried contacting him again yesterday…no response. Beware if you rent this house. Very disappointed.

Could be great

It seemed like the place did not have the attention it needed before being rented. The kitchen could have been stocked better, there wasnt enough bowls or mugs, so people in my group had to take turns. The dishwasher did not run. There was a massive rainstorm and a part of the house leaked (thankfully the owner called people in to fix it). We found a lot of little things off or out of order, but it was manageable and we still had a good family reunion.

Great house!

+- The house was very nice but the pool was not heated and the hot tub was cold so we could not enjoy those. None of the tv's would connect so we had to buy movies to watch. Also no coffee pot, had to buy that too. It was our first Thanksgiving since my husband passed and I wanted to get away with my kids and grandkids.
