FANTASTIC location
Absolutely gorgeous. My only comments would be to be aware the bathrooms are not attached to the bedroom and the heating system is a little loud. DON’T GET ME WRONG-CHOOSE THIS PLACE!!! It’s the most beautiful location I’ve ever stayed and the suite is very cozy and well appointed

3 perfect days
Beautiful property, very comfortable and furnished with everything a person could want. The access to the front door was a little tricky for anyone elderly ( that includes myself and my 2 friends). The owner was kind enough to help us with our luggage and gave us some delicious smoked salmon. The scenery was breathtaking from the patio and I hope to return someday.

Trip to Trinidad
The place was very nice and location was great. While talking to a local representative, I was told there was a washer and dryer on site, yet we never found it. I was surprised at the number of cobwebs inside and outside on windows and outdoor furniture. TV was difficult to navigate with streaming. We were on the lower level, which had a great view. Steps down seemed uneven, especially when carrying luggage. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely stay there again.

Cal Poly Humboldt Move in
We rented this property to stay in while moving our daughter into Cal Poly Humboldt. The views are stunning. Online pictures do not do it justice. It took my breath away. The property was about 20 minutes from the university which worked out fine. We made a vacation out of the college move since we are from the east coast. We thoroughly enjoyed Trinidad, Patricks Point State Park, the Avenue of the Giants and Arcata. There is a Cal Poly marine lab in Trinidad that has a touch pool which we also loved.

Gorgeous View
The view is spectacular, however the smell of raw sewage was unbearable. The system backed up in to the bathrooms and I never received a response from the management company. To top it off there was an ant infestation. For the amount of money we paid we were not happy with the condition.

Great stay!
Everything inside this property and out are perfect, and it is accurately represented on the VRBO and Vacasa apps. The wind often blows out of the north (as it does everywhere on the OR and CA coast), so a wind break on the north side of the patio furniture would be a welcome addition. Better documentation in the unit on heating and fireplace would be helpful.

Nice view
The location is very nice. With a wonderful view. The house is nice. It was strange having the bathrooms on the other side of the bedrooms. So had to leave a light on to not run into the furniture in the middle of the night. The bed was very comfortable The water coming out of the faucet was brown so we got bottled water to use during our stay. You would think the owner would have but a sidewalk to the south of the building so the people in the lower unit would have space to park Instead of hindering the private drive . And would be much easier to manipulate your luggage instead of having to wrestle them down those gravel steps.

Awesome view but the house was ok
The view was incredible. the house was ok, it was clean. but I didnt like that there was no control for the heat, it would just come on when ever and was very noisy. It was cold in the house, had to use fireplace to keep it comfortable. People above were noise, you could hear footsteps and them talking sometimes. Thin walls . Cost over $500 a night with all fees . We wont go back for that cost. It was a last minute booking so didnt have aq choice

Unbeatable views
We spent two weeks here on a working vacation, and overall it was great. The views are magical, and the unit is built to take advantage, with large west-facing windows. You're right on the cliff overlooking the rocks, with turkey vultures flying by at window height and cormorants hanging out on the rocks. It's quiet and fairly isolated. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the pots, pans, and utensils you could want, including very sharp knives. We had brought some of our own knives and pots, but didn't need them. Trinidad is less than 2 miles away, and despite its size, has a pretty decent grocery store (Murphy's), a few restaurants, and a nice beach and short hiking trail. Patrick's Point is a few miles the other way with cliffside hiking trails and beaches. Redwoods Nat'l & State Parks is about 30 minutes away and worth the drive if you like to hike. There are a couple of nice long beaches just south of Trinidad as well, with parking lots and a bike trail. Eureka's about 30 minutes south, and Arcata about 20 minutes south. Both towns have nice co-op grocery stores and a decent selection of restaurants. A few of the downsides, for us at least: - There's nowhere to walk without driving somewhere, unless you don't mind the side of a 45-mph frontage road. No sidewalks, no trails, and the stairs to the beach are washed away about 20 feet up from the sand. We didn't feel comfortable trying to rappel down for fear we'd have trouble getting back up. - The entire west side of the house is windows, which is great for the views, except there are no window coverings (except on the bedrooms). Theoretically, privacy isn't an issue as long as the neighbor doesn't walk by, but even if you're not worried about privacy, the afternoon sun is blinding (and probably hot in summer). Also, if anyone is going to sleep on the couch, there's no way to block the moon or sun. - There's no thermostat. We had heat, but no control over it. It was probably set a little on the low side, which was preferable since we could heat the living room with the fireplace, but I'd prefer full control. - No laundry onsite, which probably only matters if you're staying a while. - The water was yellow, and there was no guidebook in the unit to explain that or anything else. A note about accessibility: The stairs down from the gravel parking area are uneven and made of dirt, wood, and rocks. There is no other way down to the unit.

Views, quiet and spacious
A great location for our family of 5 adults and one infant. Two full bathrooms down a hall for all to use (no master bath). Makes alot more sense to me. One bedroom is interior with no windows (quiet and dark for sleeping but no windows for air). Huge outdoor space, patio table with umbrella which is where we spent most of our time. Also a very nice 6 burner gas BBQ. Nice open indoor area for sitting and visiting inside with dining area. Smaller kitchen but good counter space. If you drive, and are able to, bring your own fans and pillows. Beds have only 2 pillows each. We brought food for 5 people for 4 nights with us so we didn't shop locally although we did drop into a Winco in Eureka (wow! Google it if you haven't heard of it before!!) Fridge was on the smaller side and a bit tight so we did use our cooler for drinks. A staircase down to a view landing with 2 chairs and a small deck. Super private and special place to watch and listen to the ocean. A bit steep but doable. Lots of local beaches nearby. Clam Beach in mckinleyville is wide and open and great beach. Listing says only one dedicated parking space so we were concerned as we were arriving at different times. But it worked out and there was enough space to park 2 cars. There are 2 other units on the property in the same 'home', so you will see and hear others, even footsteps above. And perhaps others heard our small baby crying as well. But it was fine and we met some nice people. this info is just as an FYI... everything else makes this a perfect place. I would definitely go back.
