Weekend Stay
We had problems with the bedroom overhead light. The central unit is very loud. There was a boss on the porch missing creating a hole.

The cabin was clean as far as the overall inside and it met our basic needs. It is conveniently located and had great mountain view.

The cabin was poorly maintained. Broken blinds, broken control panel on hot tub. Dirty window and grimy hot tub. Lots of trash and debris surrounding the cabin.

Unsatisfied
This was our yearly Christmas getaway my wife and I do every year. This cabin is in a good location and has a good view. The problem is inside. Spider webs are in a lot of places, the carpet needs a DEEP clean if not replacing, there was trash in the hot tub, appliances are very old but do function. There is a crockpot that we didn't touch because it appears rusty or something. Shower curtain rod needs replacing. With all that said, this cabin has some potential if it had some TLC. Overall we were just not satisfied with the rental because the pictures didn't seem completely accurate upon our arrival. We left a day early and won't rent this cabin again.

Overpriced, underdelivered.
The view was the only part that made staying here worth it. It was obvious on arrival that the owners are not interested in upkeep. The carpet was old and ratty, the appliances look like they are from the 70's, the beds feel like they were taken out of a convertible sofa and in general the property is long overdue for upgrades. The price is purely based on the area and comps, not amenities. The person I was supposed to stay with got Covid 3 days before our stay and 48 hours before check-in I called to cancel and they would not let me so I went to salvage what I could of the weekend and was very disappointed. Also when I arrived around 930pm, the outside light was not on either, making it nearly impossible to see the house number. Pros: The heat and air conditioning worked well. The view is spectacular. So if you have money to spend and dont care about value, Its a great getaway. If you care about value, there are many other properties nearby that re providing it. Not sure I will use VRBO again as dealing witht he property management company listing through VRBO seems very un-personal.

Nice cabin in the mountains
Cabin was clean and well appointed. Linens were fresh and clean. Kitchen had all you could need to cook a meal or snacks. Beds were comfortable. Two small things to improve the stay would be better directions about using the keypad to enter, and directions for the TV would have been appreciated. Major drawback was getting to the cabin. Directions were very accurate. Road up the mountain was terrible, rutted, and rough, as well as very narrow. We were there in dry weather, don't know if we could have managed it if it were raining. Overall I think the experience was very good. Definitely appreciate the cleanliness of the cabin.

Location
I loved the location! Very remote & private area with a beautiful view. So glad we did not ride the motorcycle though. That drive to the cabin would not have been well on bike. The bed is so uncomfortable. That is my biggest complaint. The cabin was clean with clean towels provided, had working fridge and hot water for showers. Air conditioning worked well. We wondered if later the bottom portion will be finished to accommodate more people?

Beautiful view
So there were several hiccups in the beginning but it was all taken care of and the staff at Vacasa was amazing. The view was absolutley amazing!!! If you want a great view definatley book this. The drive is a little scary if youre not used to the mountains. But once you get there its a breeze. Again wonderful staff and amazing view!

Perfectly beautiful
This place is exactly what we wanted. The view was absolutly stunning, it's a very secluded cabin. We ran into one issue but it was fixed quick and the company was very helpful. They supply a cabinet full of dishes, cups, silverware, pots and pans, and have extra trash bags, paper towels and toilet paper for your stay. The hot tub wasnt as hot as we had hoped, but if they leave it on hot it will let to much moisture into the cabin and start to mold. Overall the stay was amazing. Secluded cabin but still so close to town, and Townsend is definitely not short on anything to do. I would reccomend staying here.

Escape to the Smokies
The view from the deck was perfect for our morning coffee and dinner. The property is conveniently located to Cades Cove and the Foothills Parkway. The kitchen was well stocked of dishes/pots/pans (but may I suggest a pizza pan or cookie sheet and hot pads). There was a plentiful supply of bathroom towels. There is a lot of potential with this property but in our opinion the price we were charged (including taxes and fees) was not in line with the current condition of the property. Please review the various additional fees thoroughly when renting. We have rented through VRBO across the US for several years (3rd property in the Smoky Mountains), and this is the first time that we have felt that pictures didn’t represent the property. The property is in need of a very deep cleaning and furnishings are very outdated. There is a nice electric grill on the deck but it had not been cleaned recently. There were bugs boring in the beams that caused sawdust to continually cover the kitchen table. The bathroom tub was so clogged it wouldn't drain (but my husband cleaned out that nastiness). The floor lamp is broken. The TV has blue streaks burned into the TV screen. Restful sleep was missing as we had 3 scorpions and a millipede in the cabin and to top it off was woken up twice to the sound of mice. VACASA provided a nice directory of local attractions; however, it’s disappointing that they didn’t include any information on the local businesses in Townsend. A few of our recommendations are: Smokin’ Joe’s BBQ, Misty Morning Café and Burger Master Drive in (for ice cream) are all really good. Townsend Visitor Center -- pick up a Day Hiking map for $1.00... it's excellent. Abrams Falls, Laurel Falls, and Middle Prong Trail were worth every step. And a must do in the area is Cades Cove Loop Road - we visited 4 times. There is a nice IGA grocery store in Townsend and Parkway Grocery is a neat store. Lots of “crafty” shops – my favorite was Tennessee Sally’s. Enjoy your time in TN and the Smoky Mountains no matter what property you choose to stay in.
