Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities
We chose this hotel out of convenience due to having a short turnaround as well as a rental car out of YYZ. We regretted it. Food sat in the hallway from someone’s room service for two days. A call to front desk was unsuccessful in having it removed. Unknown individuals would stand outside the main doors and blast music from their phones while having smoke breaks. Parking is not included and is also open to non-guests resulting in free spots being located in the back of the hotel in poorly lit spaces. And then there was the clientele – We counted people slamming doors upwards of 20 times an hour way into the early morning. We did not even bother to complain when a neighbouring door answered the other slamming with their own slamming. People were drunk in the hallways. While it was the holiday season and people were in a festive mood, this felt above and beyond and even purposefully disruptive. Nothing was done about the noise though it continued past 1am. We slept terribly the entire time. That did, we do want to recognise Ms L Akopian who responded swiftly to a written complaint sent on our very first night. Outside of her, we could barely have staff support us in getting a cup of hot water. It was absolutely uncomfortable the entire time. It is disheartening that we had to pay forthis stay.
