Staff let us check in earlier without any drama. We got there at 10am and the room was ready. Very busy hotel but it’s the only hotel in Toronto with a water slide inside, so that’s a plus. They have a separate swimming pool just for adults.

We stayed at the Chelsea during the holiday season and it was expectedly busy. We loved the convenient location within walking distance to key downtown destinations and dining options (we parked and didn’t use our car the entire time we stayed). Staff were kind and helpful. Rooms were dated but clean. Our kids loved the kids pool, hot tub and water slide, but these seemed in need of a refresh as well. Overall a great family-friendly hotel in downtown Toronto.
