From the photo I thought we were on the water. That turned out to be a gravel berm for the flood control basin. We could faintly hear the creek and see the foliage. My mistake. This is an older facility. Breakfast was quite limited. The pool was lovely. But closed. Maybe it was being worked on. Easy drive to Sequoia from Ash entrance.

We arrived hot and tired from a motorcycle trip and took showers right away. The water was luke warm and went to scalding twice. Bathroom fan didn’t work. No hot water at all in either sink. Next morning it was a cold shower as there was zero hot water. The sheets had something stuck on one edge and a hair on them. There was no soap in the room to wash hands with (had to go to the front desk to get some). The tub was slick, and there was no safety mat to put in it. Breakfast in the morning was all carbohydrates, no proteins like yogurt or eggs.

Deck chairs torn, very limited breakfast for continental, only one towel in room and floor was dirty, tv reception poor, shower temp kept changing

The lady who checked us in was a little hard to understand. Our room was next to the housekeeping storage room. We could hear them talking every morning while we were still in bed. Picnic table needed to be cleaned.

Dirty, poor maid service, took old towels and did not leave same quantity, had to use hand towels for bath towel, took 10 - 12 minuets to get hot water in the morning, shower faucet was very difficult to turn on and off, once water was hot it was very difficult to regulate temperature at showerhead - very hot then cool, very low water pressure, tub was very slow draining, bathroom exhaust fan did not work, toilet water ran continuously, electric GFI plug at washbasin was bad and bathroom exhaust fan did not work.

The room was huge. Awesome view from private patio. Furniture was out dated and needed to be updated. The bed was very comfortable. Disappointing breakfast-coffee, cold water, instant oatmeal, toast and limited bananas and apples that did not look good. Update the furniture and beef up the breakfast and I’d give it a 5.

I rarely leave bad reviews but this was awful. The front desk staff was rude and tried to double bill me. The room I reserved was advertised as a “room with a view of the river” except all you see from the room is a gravel and concrete levee. The property was dog friendly so I brought my 8 pound shorkie. The day I spent in the National park I left my dog in the hotel room for her comfort and safety. When I returned to the hotel my room key was de-activated. I went back to the front desk to tell the front desk staff person that my room key didn’t work. The same rude woman I met the day before. She immediately responded with, “Do you have a dog?! You didn’t pay the pet fee. I need to collect that from you.” The staff intentionally de-activated my room key to collect the $35 pet fee. They didn’t ask if I had a pet when I arrived and they could have just billed the fee to my card on file. Instead they shut off my access to my room and held my dog hostage. I will never stay here again. Plus this place was a dump. Save yourself the trouble. There’s a newer Comfort Inn a little further down the street.

I was disappointed to find our room in such an unkept condition. We only had one towel in the bathroom. The room felt too warm meaning that the a/c was turned on before our arrival at a comfortable temperature. I will not recommend this place to anyone.
