Good location, easy access to town and Ouray proper. Nice rooms, well furnished. Only drawback was odor from water, suspect simply mineral laced. Not offensive, but a subtle odor

After we checked in we told the staff that we were driving to Telluride and asked how late the bar would be open. We were told 9 PM. We arrived back at 8:45 but the bartender refused to serve us, that the bar was closed. She then went back to chatting with the other customer who was drinking his drink. The next morning I asked to speak to the manager and was told that he was unavailable but that I could leave a note. I left a note and requested a call back but never got one.

The lodge staff was excellent. The only complaint we would have is a bit better communications on the restaurant/bar hours. We understand that we were there at the start of an off season but we did not expect the restaurant and bar would be closed for most of the week and we would have to go other places to eat or drink. Overall we would stay there again.

The staff needs to be trained on how to operate all the equipment behind the counter ie; juice machine. I also recommend having ironing boards with irons in the rooms. Other than that, my room was modern/up to date and very clean. The television and cable channels were also on point.

Being a two-story facility, not having an elevator, how can you call it a “modern” building? In most states you wouldn’t be able to get a building permit to construct such a facility! Ridiculous. You obviously spent money on the flashy bar area. You should have used some of that budget to put in an elevator. Not too late to do a little remodeling.
