Nice kitchen, nasty carpets
The kitchen and master bath look great, until you turn the water on; it blasts, wasting tons of water, cutting like a knife in the shower, and splashing all over. The wood floors were nice, but the carpet and all the throw rugs, including bath mats, were disgusting. Then we found out the house was going on the market the day after we left, which explains the lack of cleaning before . I don’t think a shampoo job will cut it; the carpet needs to be replaced. We enjoyed our stay and were kept busy trying to figure out the trick to turning the gas fireplace on consistently.

Great location, cozy home!
We really enjoyed our time in Homewood. The house was clean and cozy. Very comfortable beds! We used the hot tub daily. Some things were tricky to figure out i.e., fireplace, furnace, locking of slider but overall it was a comfortable stay.

Cute house but dirty!!!
This house was nicely remodeled but we found it to be very dirty upon arrival which is why I gave it only 3 stars. We've been renting properties in tahoe for 20 years and we've never found any of the other rentals to be this neglectful in it's presentation. I was so surprised considering the pandemic. I thought all companies would be extra cautious to make sure there properties were clean for there guests. I wrote a letter to the company and took some pictures to show them how neglectful some areas were. I haven't heard anything back at this point. For example, there was blood all over the floor of the freezer. I had to look at that every time I opened up the freezer. The floor mats in the bathrooms were filthy. We had to wash them ourselves so we could use them. There were towels that had huge spots on them that were hanging up on the racks for us to use. I thought they were stained, but then I washed them in the washing machine and they came out perfectly clean. The kitchen counters and table weren't even cleaned well, nor were the floors. Have you ever taken a wet paper towel to wipe up something you dropped on the floor and the towel comes up black? Well, that was our expereince. There was a nice hot tub in the backyard, although the head rests were all worn out and kept falling off. There is some nice space in the yard, but there was dog and cat poop all over the place. Our TV in the master bedroom was badly cracked so it didn't work. I could go on and on. This house has alot of potential for a comfortable stay if they give it a deep clean, including the badly stained couch. We found the house to be mostly well stocked with supplies except there was no laundry detergent. The beds were mostly comfortable, but I did find stains on the sheets and the comforter in the master bedroom. I didn't look closely at the other rooms. On the bright side, the location of the house is great in the summer months. You are very close to Sugar Pine Point State Park, D.L.Bliss State Park and Meeks bay which are right on the lake and have beautiful beaches.

Cute home in a quiet, safe neigborhood
Property owner: They very communicative and provided detailed instructions on accessing the home, rental details, etc. They responded quickly and followed up when we contacted them thinking we left something behind. Location: This is a very family friendly neighborhood on the west shore of Lake Tahoe, where many of the best hikes and beaches are located. Grocery stores were only a 10 minute drive away. The one small inconvenience is that cellular service is basically non-existent in the neighborhood. We have Verizon Wireless and mostly had no cell service or 1 bar for reception while at the house. House: We were the first renters after a period of no visitors in Tahoe so the outside of the house was not tidy and full of brush and leaves on the walkways and back patio. We thought the house would have been cleaned just prior to our arrival but it was quite dusty and we walked into lots of cobwebs in the dining area, garage, and hallway. The kitchen floor was not recently swept and was sandy. I don't think it had been mopped in a while either, because our feet and socks were black after walking around without shoes. The listing advertised having a gas grill available but it was put away in the garage without a tank and unusable without the hose connecting the tank to the grill. The house itself has comfortable beds and sheets/linens/towels that are in great condition. The rugs in the kitchen and living room are very dirty, stained and worn down. The appliances were all in great working order. No detergent was available to use the washing machine so bring your own. Wireless internet is slow and unreliable. Other than a few minor issues, we would definitely stay here again and recommend this rental to other families. Just know ahead of time that you won't have cellular and reliable internet while in the home, no gas grill, and bring slippers and your own detergent.

Quick weekend getaway
We went up for the weekend with some friends. The house was clean and cozy and had everything we needed. Hot tub was clean and felt great on a cool evening. The instructions for checking in and out were thorough. Would definitely consider coming back and would recommend to others.

Great house for a family
I stayed at this property with husband and 6 month old baby. We actually saw a bear sighting in the backyard! Overall it is a very nice place with almost everything you need. Just bring your own cookware (spatulas..measuring spoons/cups...etc). They have some of it but it’s not very usable. The house is very well laid out with bedrooms upstairs.

Tahoma home
Stayed here a week with family of 4. Had 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Interior was clean and well appointed with everything we needed for cooking and sleeping. We were able to park in the garage and stay out from under the trees which drop a constant shower of fine sap which will Exterior was a little dirty with spider webs. Windows need screens so you can leave them open at night because there is no AC. Spa worked very well and felt wonderful after hiking and kayaking all day, but spa does need head rests replaced. Some of the bathrooms could use new rugs and a few more bath towels. But the shortcomings are very minor compared to the big picture. Some cool amenities aside from the spa were a wine cooler which held at least 12 bottles, great tasting tap water, showers with great pressure and hot water, newer stainless steel kitchen appliances, in house WiFi with Roku streaming television which had Sling TV and NFL Sunday ticket which allowed us to watch the opening day NFL games. Neighborhood was quiet and hiking trails were at the end of most cul de sacs. We had a great time and would definitely recommend this place.
