Lovely mountain home with high ceilings and log accents. Great room features flowing floor plan with large family kitchen and dining room. Walk the North Tahoe regional park with hiking, biking, playground and tennis courts. The park has a winter sled hill and snowmobile rentals. South facing for all day sun and 2 great decks in the summer for entertaining. Close to Tahoe Vista's white sand beaches. Guests are welcome to park cars in the garage and this home also has an electric outlet for your electric car! High-speed internet and TV;s in every room! Plus many more perks!

There will be a $100 pet fee plus tax per pet for up to 2 dogs upon approval.

This home is equipped with a Nema 15-40 universal plug for all electric vehicle for charging. With an added EMPORIA EV charger Level 2, 48 amp Indoor/Outdoor 24ft cable - 240v Level 2 EV Charger

The road leading up to this home is very steep. Chains are highly advised during winter months.

PLEASE NOTE: This home may be equipped with outdoor surveillance cameras and electric bear fencing that are utilized for security and bear activity in the area. These cameras in no way infringe upon guests' privacy, and monitor exterior portions of the home exclusively. The road to the home requires 4WD & snow tires in the winter months. Decks and BBQ grills may NOT be available during winter months, exterior areas may be icy. This home is not equipped with AC. Per Placer County Short term rental laws, quiet hours are from 9pm to 8am, and no street parking is permitted at any time, including boats and trailers. We recommend purchasing 3rd party trip insurance if you have concerns about canceling your reservation. We automatically add Vacation Rental Accidental Damage Insurance to your reservation. This costs $45 total. If you want to satisfy our Accidental Damage Insurance requirement another way, you can reach out to us and opt in for a refundable security deposit of $3,000 on the card we have on file for the reservation.

Wells & Bennett Realtors requires $500 of your reservation total due upon booking and the remainder due sixty days prior to check-in.

Cancellation Policy / Cancellation fee: If cancellation is made more than 60 days of arrival, a cancellation fee of $100 plus the 4% booking fee will be applied.
If the cancellation is made within 60 (or less) days of arrival, the entire rent will be retained unless Wells and Bennett Realtors is able to re-rent the specified property.
If the property is re-rented, a cancellation fee of $100 plus the 4% booking fee will still apply, but the remainder of rent will be refunded after the replacement guests have checked out.

Holiday Booking Policy
CHRISTMAS - Check-In must be by December 20th, 21st, or 22nd. There is a 5 to 7 night minimum stay required. (Must check out by December 28th at latest, to allow 7 days for a New Years Reservation.)**No Check-Ins or Check-Outs on December 24th or 25th
NEW YEARS - Check-In must be on December 27, 28, or 29. There is a 7 night minimum stay required. **No Check-Ins or Check-Outs on December 31st or January 1st

The place is clean and well maintained. TVs in every room was nice. WIFI was great. Kitchen and main family area was perfect. The location is great. Only about 15 minutes to North Star.

President's Week Getaway
Knotty Bear Cabin is a warm and cozy home with a well stocked kitchen. Instructions for self check-in were clear. When we arrived we found a clean and organized home. Our six year old son was comfortable here. I've stayed in a lot of rental homes and this one was definitely the best.

Easy Vacation !
This was our first stay in Lake Tahoe, a chance to vacation with our son and his young family (5-year old twins). The house was perfect, a good layout with one bedroom upstairs and two downstairs. It is well furnished and the kitchen has everything needed for cooking or grilling. Location is very convenient to several lake towns, shopping, and the beach.

We stayed over Labor Day weekend and had a lovely stay. Very short drive to Carnelian Bay dog-friendly beach. Quick trip to Kings beach Safeway for supplies and 10 minutes from Tahoe city. Highly recommend
