Well priced for a small studio room with 2 queen beds. A lot to do around the property and small half kitchen with most of the extras provided. Only issue was lack of coffee for the Keurig.

Easy check in and stay. WiFi wasn't up for the first day but came back the second day. No problems overall.

Can’t beat the location. The apartment was comfortable with a well equipped kitchen.
Easy check in, friendly staff and the apartment well equipped. The apartment has 4 coffee machines, but no hot water kettle or even an on the stove tea kettle. That was the only thing we missed. I would definitely rent again.

As the description says. it's a cozy place for a small family of 2-3; maybe 4 but that'd be too tight unless it's really young kids. Beds are very spacious and comfortable. TV is good and good to have Microwave, Bread Toaster, Coffe Maker and a Fridge. Bathroom is small; but clean and ok. I'd go back as it's a good place for few nights close to everything!

We were extremely disappointed in this property. Way over priced
Upon arriving and finding out there is no kitchen, that was the first disappointment. When I booked I was led to believe that I could cook etc, this was listed as a studio.. There were dishes, however, and a gigantic sponge with dish soap, but no where to cook. The dishes that were there were DIRTY!!! I had to clean silverware and plates. I took a picture of the 3rd dirty plate I found. There were dust-bunnies under both beds. The heater took forever to heat the very small room. This room was no better than a cheap hotel room, but claims it is a studio which should have come with a kitchen, biggest waste of money. We went to sled with my daughter only to be turned away and needed to book to sled at the property in advance. Staying at the property should give one an advantage to the perks of the place. The room right next to us, had a full kitchen. Also was told that dogs are not allowed, but there were dogs everywhere AND 2 dog bowls in the closet of the room. Anyway super disappointed and I do not recommend this property or at least this room....the listing should be a little more honest and maybe lower your price for what you offer, which is a glorified hotel room not a studio. This listing is deceptive is not a studio. Stay somewhere else

We had an adequate stay. The price was great but the entire room seemed worn. Bathroom and kitchen areas were clean but fan and shelves hadn’t been dusted all summer. Carpets were worn and dirty. Stains on chairs and sheets.

Weekend get away
I didn’t read any reviews before booking, so I went in unbiased. The room was clean and had enough space for our family for 2 nights. When we arrived, we could not get in using either code given. After trying the codes multiple times and then searching outside for the “lockbox” that was supposed to be to the left of the door, I called the 1-800 number. I walked through using the codes again without success and then was put on hold while they contacted the owner. We found out that the door code was changed but I was not emailed the new code. An hour to get in the room was a bit frustrating. Walls are very thin! Woke up in the middle of the night to the couple next door having relations. Wasn’t great with a family! Location of Granlibakken is great! Grounds are beautiful and dining is close!

It was no frills and we expected that. The wood floors were especially dirty as was the main rug. The refrigerator did not close all the way and the freezer hasn't been defrosted since the Ice Age. There also was no place to put your folded clothes...we essentially lived out of a suitcase.

Not what I expected for price
Good directions to property location. Wasn’t expecting upstairs though. Unit was too warm with no ability to cool room. Surrounding area is quiet forest. Shower curtain needs to be trashed, full of mold. Beds linens were clean and mattresses were comfy. No k cups in rack. Lots of amenities on property including ropes course. Had to find TP. Live acoustic music nearby was pleasant. Floor needs a good scrub. Just expected more quslity for the cost.

Small and noisy
The noise from the other unit kept us up until after midnight all three nights. You can hear absolutely everything from that unit. Its like sleeping in the room while your parents are loudly talking and watching tv in the living room. So many other problems with checking in and dirty dishes. I don’t recommend this unit but Granlibakken is wonderful normally. No service for food or drink during the week like advertised. Hot tub not available either. Disappointing to say the least.

Horrible experience
We had rented the studio from Friday through Monday. We reached really late on Friday night and we're stuck outside in freezing cold for more than a hour. The keys to unit wouldn't work and we had to wait on long holds on the phone to get to the representative. While they did respond to text messages that was not at all helpful for this situation. Although I should appreciate the person at the front desk who tried his best to get us inside the room as soon as possible. Apparently the front lobby is limited on how much they can help. But still this person was really really helpful.

More like a hotel room than a condo
Cute small room. There was a dirty towel over the shower when we arrived and dustballs under the bed. There is a microwave, dorm-size fridge, and Keurig (coffee not included,) but no sink or any type of hot plate/stovetop/range. Also, no plates. There is no washer/dryer in the unit or in any shared space in the building housing this unit, so the request in communications to start a load before leaving makes no sense (also true for doing dishes.) There were no electrical outlets near the beds. Thin walls meant hearing conversation, TV, and activity in adjacent units. Room wasn’t configured very well to have luggage. Two of us managed by using the second bed as a shelf/surface, but not sure what you’d do with four in the room. Email communications were sufficient before arrival, but I couldn’t locate a phone number for property management or I would have called about the cleanliness and lack of amenities upon check in.

The property of Granlibakken is gorgeous with everything so close. Definitely has the feeling of a summer vacation. The front desk and staff of Granlibakken have nothing to do with the studio and to be honest they weren’t very friendly. The pool was nice and super beautiful in the middle of the forest. The Lake Tahoe Rim trail was also amazing and literally right off the property.
