A short two-minute walk down a sidewalk from the front door, en route to the gondola, is the Wild Plum that includes a small grocery store, a coffee shop, a winery and pub, and diner for breakfasts and lunch. When the summer sun is shining, stroll through the Yampa River Botanic Park, less than three miles northwest, or ride your bike along the famous Yampa River Core Trail, a seven-and-a-half-mile, paved path that runs through the heart of Steamboat Springs. Kayak and fly fish on Elk River and Yampa River or attend the renowned Steamboat Rodeo or the regular outdoor concerts. And downtown, home to the Old Town Hot Springs and several fantastic restaurants, is only three miles north.
