The Great Escape - Near everything yet off the beaten path

Located in the Shenandoah Valley our cabin is located on a quiet street on a 1/2 acre lot. The backyard is fenced for big and small dogs. On the back porch is a nice gas grill. A few steps down is a hot tub. The hot tub is nice especially when returning home from a day of hiking in the Shenandoah National Park which is only 20 minutes away. Inside the home are two bedrooms, each with a king size bed. We furnish wireless internet and satellite TV. I will email you a list of activities that are all close to our cabin. There is something for everyone at The Great Escape.
Our customers tell us they can't get enough of this cabin's great location. During your stay, you're just a quick walk from George Washington National Forest. Features include a hot tub and laundry facilities. The cabin includes amenities such as a kitchen and 2 bathrooms.

We had an amazing stay at this cabin. The space was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully set up for a relaxing getaway. The kitchen had everything we needed, the beds were comfortable, and the outdoor area was perfect for morning coffee and evening unwinding. The location struck a great balance — peaceful and private, but still close enough to local shops and trails. The host was responsive and made everything easy. We’d happily stay here again.

This was a great cabin stay. Very clean and well stocked kitchen. Beds were comfortable. The outside shows the property is well maintained. We enjoyed the hot tub and our dog had a large fenced in yard to enjoy. The location made it an easy drive to area sites.

The place was amazing! It was well done; had everything you could need; and immaculatly clean. It was everything we hoped for and more, including the hot tub! We ended up having to cut our visit short because of a sick daughter, but we hope to come back sometime in the future.If you are coming to the Shenandoah National Park, this is a great place to rent.

We have stayed at The Great Escape numerous times and love the cabin. It is perfect for a long weekend in the mountains. During the days, we enjoy hikes in Shenandoah National Park and the George Washington National Forest. In the evenings, we relax in the hot tub, prepare dinners in the very well-equipped kitchen, and sleep soundly in the comfortable bed. A fully fenced in back yard for dogs and a washer and dryer are two of our favorite amenities. Don and Lina are excellent hosts, making sure the cabin has everything we need and always being accessible.

This property was exactly as depicted. The king size bed was comfortable. The television was easy to control and we were able to watch baseball and our football team. We spent a lot of time at Shenandoah National Park. The house was also located within a half mile of Catherine’s Furnace in George Washington National Park. Good hiking! The neighborhood was nice and quiet. The backyard was large and fenced. We were comfortable. We appreciated the To Do book the hosts had put together. The food recommendations were spot on.

Loved that we could take our dog with us,and with the fenced in yard, it was perfect. The hot tub was nice to relax in. The property is very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The hosts couldn't have been nicer, with many of the starting essentials like toilet paper and paper towels provided. They even provided essentials for our pooch!
