Wonderful secluded cabin

We stayed with our two children aged 3 and 6 and the cabin was wonderful. Came stocked full of tows and games and the host communicated very well.

Sunny woods gravel road cabin

While the proper rd y was sunny up in the woods if indeed you didn’t have a 4 wheel or SUV it could be a little hairy Tha GPS directions turn you in the wrong direction just before you get to the place I had to back down a narrow road that had loose rocks on it If you know that is happening I suggest you put a sign upon large print at the bottom of the wrong way hill Also as a VRBO I assume that there will be rolls for cooking and for storing food since that is one of the reasons we pick a Vrbo. At this site there was 1 dish cloth and one dish towel? There were no storage contained even cheap glad containers would have been good The living food and the one bedroom had black mold on the ceiling and you can see the water damage stains One frying pan ? Makes it tough to make food like fajitas that need more than 1 pan so you can eat at a reasonable time The cabin staff were excellent with retuning messages and that was great

Very pleasant stay in Sunny Woods Cabin

High marks for communication, accuracy of web site, quality of accomodations, etc... Very nice / secluded area, but not too far from stores / restaurants. Only concern was moisture stains at the top of the cathedral ceiling.

Beautiful place

Wonderful home, very comfortable. Accommodations were excellent, would stay there again. The fridge can get pretty noisy, breaking the wonderful silence of the woods at night, so hopefully the owners can get that fixed/replaced.

Oktoberfest weekend

The cabin looks just like the pictures. Very quiet & relaxing area. Plenty of room for our party of 4. Close to town no more than 15 mins. Would rent again.

Tranquil Mountain Home

This cabin is a great option for anyone looking for a quite get away in the Helen area. We enjoyed the scenic fall views the back porch had to offer as well as the warmth from the fire pit below. The cabin itself is very spacious and boasts a great deal of natural light throughout the main living space.

Beautiful property but too many problems

Cabin was beautiful, but had to many annoying problems. Maintenance had to come out 2 separate days to fix fireplace, local sheriffs deputy came to the cabin to leave a notice that this cabin was not be rented out legally (management said it was miscommunication and sheriff said no it wasn’t, so who knows) then at 6:45 in the morning the smoke alarm started chirping every 30 seconds because battery needs to be replaced. It was way to high on the wall for us to reach. Maintenance showed up again around 10 to take it down. Nice cabin, nice people….but just annoyed with the whole thing

Nice but power/water issues

We were warned that the snow may impact our stay. We came prepared with extra food, drinking water, blankets, and lights. The first morning of our stay the power went off while cooking breakfast. Thankfully there is a gas grill where I could finish it. We had to use the gas fire place to keep the place relatively warm but the rooms were very cold, the high ceiling didn’t help. All of that would be fine for families without young children or are ok with some ingenuity on how to make a typical stove top meal on a grill. The main reason we left our first day was that the house is on a well system. It required the electric pump. We couldn’t clean dishes, wash hands, and eventually we wouldn’t be able to flush the toilet(unless I poured drinking water or melted snow). We were told the electric company dispatched trucks to restore power but did not give us an ETA. Had I known about the well system with the storm I would have canceled the trip. All this to say, circumstances made this trip unsuccessful but the agency was very apologetic and understanding of us leaving and not being able to clean our dishes.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was very spacious, clean and peaceful. The only issue we had was the road up to the cabin would have been much easier in a 4wd vehicle.
