Make sure to contact host upon booking
We booked our stay at this property in March for June 17-20. It was confirmed and fees were taken out. Everything was coordinated and planned for 4 adults and a 4 year old. We drove hours and when we arrived there was another person there . It was double booked . The host said they booked it 2 months ago meaning we booked first even though the host stated we didn’t. All the host did was blame vrbo and refunded us . However , the host has this property on multiple sites and stated it was an auto booking she never approved. After speaking with vrbo they stated a host has 24 hours to accept or it pings as unavailable. Meaning the host accepted it and double booked. I just want others to make sure to check with the host after booking to ensure you’re good to go. I unfortunately won’t be booking this property again as we felt the host wasn’t very helpful in the situation other than rightfully refunding . We were stuck without a space and wasted a big chunk of our time .
