The room I've stayed is noisy. The location. Near the 101 is perfect but they need to upgrade the windows. Too noisy and you can't have a good night sleep.

Hotel needs to be updated. No signage at parking or building entrance - nothing identifying it was the Hampton. Had to have our cards rekeyed three times and one still didnt work so gave up. Carpets in room and throughout hotel were dirty. Staff was friendly. Good parking and location.

a nice enough hotel

A nice enough hotel... Everything worked. The bed was clean. The shower was hot. However, my check-in was functional, not stellar (but we had a great conversation with the office staff as we checked out). On the way from the parking lot, it was obvious that the lint vent from the laundry had spewed maybe 20 square feet of thick lint in the very front of the hotel. Ick. Two of the overhead lights in the porte corchère were burnt out. The bed had a bedspread/comforter that does NOT take the place of a blanket. The shower water was hot but the shower head seemed to have a lot of clogs and the spray was uneven. Breakfast? As to be expected and no more. Everything seemed tasteless. Not what I'd say even a Hilton lower-budget should be.

The pros: The location is excellent. There’s free parking. Outside of the building, the main lobby, and website photos all look nice. The front desk staff are okay. There cons: Not sure if the guest services line is the same as the front reception desk, but the person I spoke to about our room having a wet area next to the a/c was rude and told us they had no other availability. But then a front desk person came to the room and said his manager said we had two options: to either put towels on the soaked area, or ask us if wanted an another room. After telling me there was nothing available. We took the new room. The rooms are horrible. The beds and pillows are awful, the carpet is disgusting, there were stains on the bedroom walls, and the bathroom tub is so old it looks dirty. We happened to walk in our room at the same time housekeeping was there so she left, but we only stayed for 15 min. Housekeeping never returned and our room was not cleaned or made up. Oh, and the jacuzzi was out of order.

It was a pleasure staying here with my family. I like how the double queen room was very accommodating for our special needs little one. The staff greeted us with smiling faces. The breakfast was nice, very typical continental breakfast. Only a few minutes away from Avila or Pismo beach. Absolutely would stay here again.

I wanted to share some feedback from our recent stay. Overall, we found the staff to be friendly and professional, which was great. However, we encountered a significant issue: our room faced the highway, and the noise made it difficult for us to sleep. Is there a possibility of assigning quieter rooms in the future? Stayed two nights. Liked the breakfast buffets. Asked front desk to get refill on conditioner and body lotion. No one from housekeeping ever took care of problem.
