Room 1228 was perfect. Check-in and out went smoothly. Extremely close to the Powell Station so you can get anywhere relatively fast and there's plenty to do within walking distance.

The check in was by kiosk but there’s someone in the lobby that will come over to explain. Staff were attentive and welcoming. The room had a long bed that was wall to wall. I thought that was cool.

Perfectly situated hotel, 2 mins walk from Powell BART station, rooms are modern, well maintained and clean, staff are all excellent. Third time I have stayed here, I would highly recommend to everyone.

It took me a couple of nights to get used to the super firm mattress but I could sleep fine eventually. The rooms are small but have everything you need. The remote controls for TV, lights and air con are on an iPad or you can do what I did and use the Citizen M app on your phone. The whole place feels very clean and modern with friendly staff. There is a large “living room” area for people to use to work on the supplied Mac’s or lounge about with a coffee. I had breakfast three days and enjoyed it, you’re a large choice that is often refreshed with new food. I will say with San Francisco you have to know what you are getting yourself into, there streets are crowded with homeless people and you don’t have to stray too far to get into very dodgy areas. I do love the city but you have to look past a lot to feel that way, anyone with a heart will be saddened by the state of the homeless and what it has done to the city.

Always wanted to stay in a CitizenM so where better than San Francisco. Hotel was bright, clean. Could offer evening offerings like food, drinks and entertainment as living room was often like a library. There is a rooftop garden which i never used! Chromecast didn't work in hotel room and no sofa so had to make do with bed. Breakfast offering okay but went other places for choice over convenience.

Was surprised how small the room was and not very private to use the restroom but we really enjoyed our stay. The view from the huge picture window was amazing. Room had everything we needed. Parking lot was directly next to the hotel so that was convenient as well.
