Excellent hotel with competitive rate, centrally located at Union Square with lots of the high end stores and restaurants around. The area is very safe at least day time, convenient parking with a fee $38 (overnight). They have some nice touches like all day coffee, tea and water station, apples and cookies(maybe after 4. Highly recommended and we will stay again.

Only in town for 2 nights so was quick stay. Felt safe at this location. In the area there are homeless people but they did not make us feel uncomfortable. Close to trains and tourist hop on / off bus which made it easy to explore the city. It's an older property but the rooms were spacious and clean. Great beds.

This is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in. The room is spacious with a decent bathroom. It also comes with a fridge, safe and we were excited to see a welcome bottle of wine. The beds are comfy, the staff friendly and cookies at all times on reception is a nice touch. We would definitely stay here again.

Awesome Stay in the heart of SF!!!
We were allowed to check in early which was pretty cool. The hotel itself is perfectly located if you wanna walk the streets of SF. We came over on the train from Berkeley and came up onto Powell street and hopped on the Cable Car that put us off right in front of the hotel. The room was clean and cozy. Bed was comfy and big enough for a rather tall couple. Staff were super nice and accommodating. I’ll definitely be back!

Great location just off Union Square with good restaurants bars and shops close by. It’s a historic hotel (it was the tallest in San Francisco when it was built in 1907) so rooms are quirky and a little small rather than the square boxes of modern hotels. The bed was comfortable, couldn’t fault the cleanliness or staff, and the free 24hr coffee and cookies was a welcome bonus.
