Love the beach but not the prices? This is for you! Furnished to maximize sleeping capacity, the pricing of this unit reflects its pros & cons. Pros: 2 bedrooms and a backyard with BBQ, fire table, and inflatable jacuzzi (no kidding!) This was owner's unit - serious pride of ownership. Super convenient - just a short walk to the beach, walking trails, and coffee shops. Cons: Street view (vs. beach view); some noise potential.

* Smart TV: Netflix and Amazon Prime Capable
* Ceiling fans in each room + portable fan in closet (No AC)
* Showers: indoor (hot/cold) and outdoor (cold water only)
* Laundry: Washer & dryer in garage (need quarters $1.25 wash $1.25 dry or pay with phone app)
* "Mr. Coffee" coffee maker - uses filters (not Keurig pods)
* Backyard with BBQ, picnic table, fire table, and inflatable jacuzzi
* Beach equipment provided: wagon, beach chairs, umbrella, and towels

San Clemente’s signature palm-covered umbrellas line San Clemente State Beach (two blocks away - walking distance), providing a sense of tropical serenity to your visit as you relax in the shade. Volleyball nets and fire-pits for roasting marshmallows add to this beach’s charm. Be sure to take a walk along the historic San Clemente Pier where you will see fishermen casting their nets and if lucky, you’ll spot some dolphins or whales. Grab a snack while at the base of the pier or stop by Fisherman’s Restaurant. Great surfing at this beach is a given. Note: Dogs are not allowed on the beach or on the pier, but there are great walking trails for Fido all along the beach. While on the walking trail, keep your eyes open for hidden painted rocks, painted by local artists! You might also find these hidden gems in Downtown San Clemente, the quintessential California beach town!

The unit is within walking distance of just about everywhere. It’s less than 5 minutes to the beach, Pier, coffee shops, the Amtrak train station (an easy ride to San Diego) and restaurants & shops on Del Mar Street. // The unit has an attached garage with a laundry machine (uses quarters). Guests can park 2 cars on the property - one inside the garage & one in the driveway (in front of first car). Please remember to close the garage door after you park your car. There is also free street parking.

Great spot!
Great spot close to the 5, pier and all San Clemente has to offer. On-site laundry was nice as well. Plently of room for parking with the garage and driveway. Would stay here again in a heaetbeat!

A great escape from the snow~
We enjoyed the Blue Whale Inn. The other guests were very nice. We were all getting out of the snow and so happy to be in beautiful San Clemente! So many stunning sunsets while we were there for a month. It’s a quite friendly neighborhood, with the pier is right there with many great restaurants just a short walk away. . Although the units we stayed in were a bit dated and cluttered, the location and neighborhood can’t be beat! Thanks for having us!
