The areas surrounding the room need urgent attention regarding cleanliness. The room was okay but the restroom was too small and some maintenance issues were encountered.
Checking in was ok we were able to check in early the property itself is old and outdated was hard to take a shower cuz its not made for tall people. The people next to us were constantly arguing and there was alot of banging and doors trying to open so sleeping was non existent. Breakfast was lacking alot u could walk to whataburger and get something for better
This is a budget hotel so my expectations are set accordingly. However, at the budget range some are better than others and this one is lower than average. Some examples (a) overflowing trash containers (b) morning breakfast has "out of order" on the apple/orange juice dispenser (c) cracks in doors with a moderate cricket problem outside. In contrast to some others in budget category where I found an attention to detail and cleanliness. This one is fine but below average.
We had to change rooms 3 times. The 1st time we walked in the room and whoosh! The odor was so horrible! It was a clash of urine and cigarettes! Had to move to a room that the hotel keys would not work. There was no tech person to fix that. By the time they were in the 3rd room we were so tired and gave up for getting a better room. This room when the air came on it smelled like cigarettes! The bed spread had cigarette burn holes in it, more than 5 different places. There were no blankets. The dead bolt locked us out when we went back down to bring up our luggage. So it was a walk back to the office to get the keys reset. The bathroom was so dirty. The shower had pink stains, maybe blood? There were roaches in there too! The one towel our family was allowed to have was stained and had oily finger prints on it! Walking up the stairs there were urine stains and a horrible smell. It looks like there are rats nests and dust bunnies in the corners of many of the stair steps. The ratings on this place looked good on the hotels.com website. I should have checked google reviews. Don’t believe any of the other ratings on this website because there was nothing any where near good about this place!
Not well lighted. Very dark and unsafe feeling. Front office staff was very nice but pictures of property on the Expedia are nothing like what the property actually looks like
Room was run down and exposed bed box springs were dirty. Chair in the room needed to be replaced as the entire top layer of upholstery has been worn completely off. Carpet was very dirty and bad smell in the room. Shower curtain was moldy. Opened drawer in nightstand and there was a very molded half-eaten lunchable (source of the bad odor found). Staff was friendly, though
The tv didn’t have a remote, there was no cord to use the phone, and when we asked said they were getting rid of phones , door didn’t close so we had to take our stuff with us every time we left. smoke alarm was beeping and said he changed it but it was still beeping, then he took batteries out and no coffee pot, we didn’t get moved rooms finally until around 1am . And the first night we didn’t get any sleep so we went somewhere to eat
Was given a key to our room, arrived to room only to find the door open. The bedding was dirty with stains , the bathroom was unbelievably filthy- hair was in the tub and there was a dirty rag. The tub was nasty. Property was dirty and unkept. Spoke with another customer who was going to stay but changed his mind because it was dirty. Told us he opened his room only to find a man lying in his bed. This is the absolute worst experience ever. (I wish I could post pictures) When I informed the staff the attitude was like it was no big deal and showed that this wasn’t the first time or type of complaint.
The property is being renovated. They are still working on making improvements. The pool was not operating as they were repairing some equipment.
They didn’t have an ice machine which was inconvenient.
The continental breakfast was ok. They could add some protein and some fruit.
Overall, my stay was good.
Old and ran down, the outside has been somewhat updated but inside the rooms are gross, roaches, shower barely worked. Smelled like cigarettes and sewer. This is an example of you don't get what you pay for.
