Staff very friendly. Beds were very comfortable. Balcony over looking river very peaceful to sit on and enjoy a cocktail from the happy hour.

What a fun little town, and a nice place to stay! Clean, with dedicated parking, and super conscientious staff. The little private balcony was lovely and we were able to step out and watch a parade Saturday morning! I do wish there was a window, or the ability to raise the blinds in the door to the balcony to let in some light, as the room is otherwise quite dark. I would consider staying here again.

Lots of extra benefits... Breakfast included... A wine and cheese snack hour in the evening... Lovely views over the river to watch the riverboat go by and right in downtown Frankenmuth. Nothing but wins for this stay. Will look forward to staying here again.

An unexpected gem.

We just loved that this hotel was in honour to its namesake. Pictures and stories of his life are all over the hotel. Extremely quaint and peaceful patio overlooking the riverboat going up and down the river.

Problem with the handheld shower

We were in a handicap accessible room. The shower was a hand held. The problem was that the shower could not be pointed down and when it sprayed it misted through the shower curtain because it would not remain tight and got everything on the sink wet. The floor s well.

Loved the wine and cheese at 5. Nice breakfast but would have liked option of oatmeal…ready to serve or cooked…because I am gluten free. We were disappointed there was no recycling of bottles and cans.

Anxious for our next stay

Our favorite hotel in Frankenmuth! Impeccably clean with comfortable beds, nice linens, and a coffee service in the rooms. Breakfast is delicious; eggs, bacon, cereal (hot and cold) a nice selection of bread and muffins AND a Belgium waffle maker. Last but not least (and their own nice personal touch) from 5 to 7 p.m. is a complimentary Happy Hour with wine or beer. A truly lovely place to stay!!

Perfect for a couple.

We stayed only one night which, for us, was enough to see frankenmuth. It’s so close to the shops and restaurants that you can come back for a break. Looking over the river with a glass of wine and small charcuterie at Happy Hour (included) was such a pleasant way to end the day! Families might stay elsewhere, but for a couple, this place is perfect. Under hotel parking, hot breakfast, the Happy Hour, the comfortable room, the river views…perfect for us.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms, hallways, and breakfast areas were all clean. Bed was comfortable. Close to road so pick up road noise. Small underground garage and slow elevators. Dated decor, but also a bit kitchy with the Marv Polka Herzog theme.
