Very nice property on the harbour . Loved being able to walk everywhere . The big downfall was the room . The A/C runs very loud and we moved rooms twice . We ended up turning it off but woke up very hot .

The description for the 1st floor “harbor” rooms is not accurate. The harbor cannot be seen from the rooms. There is a large hedge in front of these rooms that block any view. Expedia and the hotel should take greater care so customers are not misled.

as a luxury, real estate agent and travel agent, I was very excited to stay at Barren Cove in Sag Harbor for a day and check it out for some fabulous clients who are thinking of having an event there. Unfortunately, our flight was delayed 15 hours from LAX to New York because of bad weather and Barren Cove and Expedia don’t have any type of accommodations or policies to give a credit or cancel. I spent hours on the phone with Expedia. He was in touch with Barr’s Cove, as well as with the manager at Barren Cove and emailed and they would not give me a refund or even a credit towards the future visit. I would love to explore this property for my clients, but unfortunately, I was not able to and they did not make it easy , it looks beautiful in the pictures. It was recommended by a friend that lives in Sag Harbor.

Sag Harbor’s Best Hotel
This hotel is amazing. A wonderful resort. The entire staff is friendly and accommodating. Kristen the front desk was so nice and welcoming. We met two young pool area servers from Ireland who were so lovely. We had a wonderful two nights there. The walking around Sag Harbor downtown Main Street for our morning walks and for dinner was so easy and fun. We even rode their bikes around the parking lot since we hadn’t been on bicycles for way too long.

Disappointing Experience with Rude Staff
I recently stayed at Baron's Cove, & unfortunately, it was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I've ever had. The primary issue was the shockingly rude & disrespectful behavior of the staff, which overshadowed any positive aspects of the hotel. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that guest service was not a priority. I was met with dismissive attitudes & curt responses. They acted as if my presence was an inconvenience rather than a valued guest. Throughout my stay, I encountered several issues that required staff assistance: drink & dining delays of over an hour, and ignoring the Do Not Disturb sign. Each time I sought help, the staff seemed annoyed by my request & responded in a manner that was both unhelpful & disrespectful rolling their eyes & muttering as they walked away. Instead of resolving my problems, they made me feel like a nuisance. I'd hoped that the management might be more understanding, but my interactions with them were equally disappointing. When I attempted to address my concerns about the staff’s behavior, I was met with defensiveness & a lack of accountability. It seemed like they were more interested in dismissing my complaints than addressing the issues at hand. While the hotel's amenities & location were satisfactory, the staff's rude behavior left a sour taste the staff's rude behavior left a sour taste that overshadowed my entire stay. A hotel experience should be welcoming & accommodating, & they failed miserably in these aspects.
