I had a reservation for a 2 bed room. On the arriving day I called to confirm my room/reservation and I was inform that everything was ok. When I arrived to the property, the front desk informed me that they no longer have my room and they approved to give me 2 rooms with one bed on each room but also that the card key were not working so a staff was going to open the room for me. Traveling with a minor that was not an option for me. Plus for safety having my daughter by herself and not having a key was a real problem. I was left with only one option. I had to stay in a one bed room with my daughter sleeping in the one bed and I slept on the floor. In the future Im not going to stay in this property. Also they inform me that the only thing they were able to do for me was to give me some points for the Bonvoy account because my reservation was with Expedia and not directly with them. But the point did not happen.

This was my first time staying at a Tru hotel, and I was really happy with some of the small touches, such as extra outlets and charging areas, comfortable rooms, and great lighting in the bathroom. The had a nice breakfast, and overall the design of the hotel was really nice.

This was the perfect hotel for me and my dog for the night. Very clean . Very easy access to the highway and lots of dining options nearby. The room was fully stocked and absolutely spotless and very comfortable.

TRU was as usual, clean. Service was not as usual. Could not understand the night clerk. Had to ask him to repeat several times. Could have stayed elsewhere for the price. It seems the hotel has outlived it's original cheerfulness. Just an overnight stop could have been done in a more congenial location at the same cost.

THIS is the only hotel to stay @ in Rocky Mount
We moved to the Tru after being at another hotel where the bed didn't agree with us. We found the room at the Tru hotel so superior than our prior, older hotel that we decided to stay an extra night. The only problem with booking the extra night, was trying to change the booking in the hotels app. However, Tyrone at the front desk handled the additional night very professionally so our stay didn't have to be moved to another room. We shall be back during our next stay in Rocky Mount.
