We stayed in an upgraded Mountain View suite, all inclusive with fine dining. We learned that it didn’t include room service, I was shocked and disappointed. I’ll will not be staying here again. The room was outdated, definitely needs a face lift. It was spacious for a 1 bedroom but old, sofa bed was hard with no support.

Room extremely noisy, air conditioner unit not working properly it was exaggerated noisy we had to completely turn it off; after asking the manager for a different room 3 times!!! the front desk manager assigned us a worse room, it was dirty, the air conditioner was worse than the original one, we had to survive the noise for the entire 8 nights at the original room. the front desk manager didn't acknowledge or at least consider our situation extremely disappointed.

Inconsistent service, room (bathroom knob falling off and faucet hanging by a thread)not made on check in, had to phone every day for 3 days to get any bathroom towels. had good and bad meal in surf and turf, buffet ok but not very many choices. Beach had no loungers so you were expected to sit on the sand. Tipped well but no improvement

It was all very nice except that the beach is very small and most of the huts were pretty much covered up with sand. They could also use a little more entertainment at night to keep the kids busy but for the rest it was a beautiful place!

My second stay at Canto. Probably my last. Buffet is small but adequate. Wasn’t feeling well one day and missed my Ala carte dinner. They would not let me go another night. Exercise team… pls stop blowing the whistle. Earthquake last night I was here… scary. First time ever at an AI that I couldn’t use my arm band for a few hours after 11am checkout to get coffee and breakfast at buffet. Front desk said that was because I booked with Expedia? After flying with Flair and being extra charged for every little thing doubtful I will fly with them, stay at Canto or book with Expedia again. Also no Do not Disturb signs for your room door for some reason.

The stay was affordable and the amenities were nice. However, there are no photos of the ‘mountain view’ rooms, and this is definitely on purpose. The rooms are in a hotel Canta Del Sol purchased to expand their resort and clearly not the ones pictured on booking websites. They were clean and definitely reflect the price but just be prepared for an older room. My room included a kitchenette but no fridge, the microwave didn’t work, the safe was broken, and there was no hair dryer. The service manager was kind, explaining that these rooms get a lot of complaints and make his job difficult. He offered us a new room on the 5th night or a free massage, so we chose the massage as we only had one night left. If you’re looking for a place to sleep and you’re okay with less than luxury this is your place, but if you expect more than a bed keep looking!

Property is nice and clean , the buffet for all inclusive was average. Dining options they have 4 restaurants that you get to reserve one for every 2 days you stay. What I didn’t like is that when I book for Mountain View room .Those rooms are across the street from hotel. Expedia should state that when booking. I told front desk and they said very rudely you get what you pay for. I said exactly I pay to stay in Canto Del Sol not building across the street. Watch out for pool bartender Arturo, he rinses people personal cups (yeti) on top of ice he uses for drinks. Nasty!!!

The room was in terrible condition: old broken floors, faucets, tub. The access to it is an abandoned area full of dirty, broken ragged couches and the patio access was to an abandoned mall full of garbage.

Nice weekend stay, family of 6 adults
We stayed for 4 days and it was nice, we never struggled to find a place to sunbathe, never took too long to find a table at the buffets, and we liked the food and the drinks. The only inconvenience is the check in and check out process, took a lot of time and was a very cumbersome.

Amazing food! The buffet was always good and the staff are so kinda. Beach area, main pool with swim up bar, smaller pool with bar across the roundabout closer to our mountain room, kids pool by tennis courts, second breakfast buffet on mountain side too, tennis courts, gym, lobby bar. We loved it here! This resort is centrally located within the bay and is walking distance to many amenities. VERY SAFE off resort. We walked around and did some shopping and went to the grocery store. There is also a karaoke bar across the street from this resort. We took the Glorias city bus (10 pesos = $0.50) heading south to the boardwalk. Did some shopping at an outdoor market and had lunch by the sea at an outdoor restaurant. We also did a jungle zip lining excursion that included lunch. No matter where we ate the food was always amazing, even in the middle of the jungle by a waterfall.

This is false advertisement. I booked at this resort in hopes of staying there? We get there, took almost an hour to check in and nobody tells me where my room is until i had to ask. Then we get escorted out of the resort, into an entirely different building. The only things in our room were 2 bottles of water and that was it. No coffee, no snacks or anything like in the photo. We asked for water and they wanted to charge us extra. Wasnt this supposed to be all inclusive? We ended up finding a store so we can have bigger bottles of water and get snacks considering we werent even on the resort. We went to stay for new years, the staff didnt even tell us we had to sign up for the new years party and dinner, we were told by others who were staying at the resort. Considering this is why we went, why werent we told about having to sign up? When we finally asked, we were told to wait by a certain area and be there for 9am. We get there, and then were told 10am. 10:10am came around and still nobody so we had to ask AGAIN. This place has no communication, no hospitality, no nothing. Even the staff look miserable there. Ive been to mexico many times before and have never been treated this poorly. Ive never stayed in any room, where they dont supply coffee in the morning. Even dingy motels here where i live, give you coffee or drinks in your room. It took 3 days into our trip, for a staff member to come up to us and ask if we wanted anything. I will never come back here again.

Check in took over two hours in a line that went all the way down the hall. When we finally got checked in we tried to book restaurants for our stay since we paid for all inclusive. There was only 1 day out of 6 we could eat at a restaurant. We had to go off resort and pay out of pocket for dinners the other 5 nights. The front counter wanted us to pay for waters. The cleaning staff was great! They got to our rooms every day with a smile and very polite. The guys at the entrance were very polite and helpful. We will not be back. Don’t feel like we got close to our moneys worth. This is our tenth time going all inclusive to Puerto Vallarta. This was our worse experience so far.

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at Canto del Sol, Puerto Vallarta, where my husband and I spent 10 nights. I am not happy at all with my stay. Unfortunately, the food is a bit disappointing. The facilities are outdated. There is only one elevator, and it is very far from the room we were assigned. The quality of the drinks and cocktails is very poor. The staff was very kind and tried to help and do their best. Our room had a very bad smell.
