Port Angeles retreat
Overall we enjoyed our stay at this house. A specific concern we had were the two bathrooms. First, they were located next to each other, not where bedrooms #2 ad #3 are located. Small matter. Another concern: it was tricky to adjust cold water with hot water in the shower. We had to learn to start with a small trickle of cold water, then add in the hot water, both faucets turning inward, toward each other. The cold water faucet seemed to endlessly turn to the right. Again, small matter. Finally, the water coming out of the shower had an odd smell, as if chemically treated. Separate from the showers, we had to learn how to use the tv and realize that we could not access some of the familiar channels, e.g. Netflix, Amazon, etc. Overall, however, a quiet retreat located just outside of town. Great home close to Olympic NP
We enjoyed our stay here. We loved spending time outside on the deck surrounded by the trees and watching the deer - very peaceful and secluded. A great spot close to the park.

Underwhelmed, overpriced
Nice: King bed, very comfortable Master bath updated, good shower Book collection & native art Plenty of parking space Quiet neighborhood Not pleasing: No views of water or mountains Unappealing deck with uncomfortable outside furniture Remote from town Request that we not wear shoes in the house. Cost was unwarranted, compared with the prior 3 nights in updated, lovely, view abundant, lakeside (40% less expensive) VRBO near Gig Harbor.

August 2022 birthday getaway
Wonderful place--the hosts provided everything you need for a great vacation. Thoughtful bottles of shampoo for those flying in, coffee, filters...and for everything else, Safeway is just a five minute drive. Beautiful quiet deep woods surrounding, and perfectly located for access to all the Olympic peninsula activities. Check out the lovely Kokopelli Grill, hard pass on the disappointing and understaffed Salty Girls. Great birthday-vacation week, we'd come back anytime!

Good property and location hampered by poor temperature control.
Great location and great house. Our state was hampered by a setback thermostat that would not allow us to change the temperature to less than 75°. This allows the air inside the house to be very humid and uncomfortable. This limitation plague destroying our entire stay. Also, the dishwasher did not work.

Rocky start
I asked for early check in at 3 instead of 4, but no go, even tho it was obvious that no one was there and the house was ready. When we did get in, there was no power in the house! Meaning no hot water, no internet etc! Finally got in touch with someone who said they would put in a call to the power company! Power came on shortly after that, luckily. Kitchen stove top had not been cleaned. Counters grubby and gritty. Other rooms fine. Overall, house very nicely appointed, but bad beginning.

A home that’s like a “hug”
Gosh, this spot was totally great! So much comfort, privacy and relaxation! This home offers everything a person could need for resting and adventuring .. the only downside is that the water had a slider smell. We needed to provide our own drinking water, but small price to pay for the value and accommodations of the home!

Great gem in the woods
We stayed here with our 3 kids while exploring Olympic National Park. The location was great. Very private and secluded. Just up the road from the Park Visitor Center. We saw deer on the property. Loved the retro look of the house. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking at home which we did. Beds were comfortable. Nice updated master bath. Had a nice TV with lots of DVDs and games. Very cool book collection. They even had umbrellas and walking sticks to use. How thoughtful!

Great house
Really. Nice house in the woods. Loved it. Only thing we objected to was that we would have to strip the beds....for the price of this rental, that should be done. We were late in being able to get in because the cleaning staff was an hour and half behind schedule.

Great stay in the woods
The house was spacious enough for six of us and well maintained and clean. Lots of good information about the house and it’s surroundings. We loved how secluded it was…felt like we were deep in the woods. Close access to services in town and to Olympic National Park. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful Setting
The home was nice and spacious, the beds were comfortable and of course, the setting was amazing. It could have been cleaner (dirty dishes in the cupboard, dead bugs in the bathroom light fixtures) but it was livable. Loved that it was close to town but felt secluded. The thermostat is a problem. You can only adjust it 5 degrees either way and the heat comes on automatically in the morning making it really too hot to sleep in. The whole house was really dark. There are not enough lights in any of the rooms and a living room light was on a timer so we couldn’t use that one. I would still recommend this house.

Family trip to Olympic National Park
We had a wonderful family vacation in Olympic national Park. We used Port Angeles s as a homebase. We were able to travel to Forks to hike to Hoe River Trail. We enjoyed Second beach and the Hot Springs. We ate dinner here in town, which was awesome. The home was in the middle of the woods with deer feasting right next to the house. The house was clean with modern bathrooms and the peace and quiet we were looking for this adventure. It is located right near the entrance to the road to Hurricane Ridge. If your looking for a place in the city with the noise of street life, then this is not for you. If your looking for a place in the woods with peace and quiet that the Olympic range offers, then this is the place.
