Our stay was over all good, with a few items that I feel could use some improvement. Location is great, lots of little shops and restaurants with lots of outdoor adventures to do! The natural rock bridge was awesome, there’s plenty of hikes near by as well. Lots of elk come and visit the cabin every day, the kids loved seeing them up close.
A few items that made the trip less than excellent but can definitely be changed to make it excellent!
We had some extra guests (our kids) after our sitter bailed last minute. We had just arrived and had trouble with the smart lock. Once we were finally able to get in, we were messaged by the host saying that the extra guest fee request was sent to us. This was after we were observed via ring cameras arriving. No problem paying for the extra people, the way it was handled set a somewhat awkward tone for the rest of the trip. Now that we realized we were being watched on camera, this made some of our party pretty uncomfortable. To reinforce our suspicions of being observed, the following morning we had some elk visitors. The host has a bucket of feed for the elk which ran out, without asking about more feed we received a message where to find more feed to refill the bucket. While we appreciated the information about the feed, the part that it was unsolicited bothered us. On to cleanliness, overall the home was mostly clean. When going to bed the first night we found one of the beds had not been washed. Finding sand, and what looked like dog or cat hair all over the sheets. We ended up needing to wash them ourselves.
Again over all the stay was okay and we enjoyed our time up in Pine.
