Stayed here to spend weekend with my daughter who goes to college nearby. Nice
hotel and quaint little town with dining and shopping all in walking distance.
I don't appreciate hotels that place a $250 hold on a cc when there is no mini bar etc.
The hotel is very nice and in a great location. The breakfast was above par and the restaurant wonderful.
We stayed here because of a concert that was in town. Very nice staff, room was small, but clean. My back didn't hurt as much as it usually does from seeing on a hotel bed. The breakfast was small, but had mostly healthy options. Very good quality.
We stayed one night during a weekend visit with family nearby. The common areas are charmingly chic for a historic restoration and quite inviting, from the lobby to the restaurant and the veranda, where we enjoyed a fairly extensive continental breakfast. The room was comfortable but unexceptional. The staff was very hospitable and helpful. The location is so close to center city Philadelphia, though, that I would prefer to stay there If I had no reason to be in Wayne.
This comfortable and attractive hotel has very reasonable rates, especially for this area. The free breakfast is very simple but adequate if you don't want a big meal. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay there in the future.
We needed a spot for a quick overnight stay on the Mainline. Wayne Hotel filled the bill. The room was clean, well appointed and sizable. Facility was smallish and house like but professionally run. The continental breakfast was adequate--except for soft boiled eggs that turned out to be cold and hard boiled.
Parking could be a problem, as the lot is small and cramped. The front steps off the lot would be a killer for the old and infirm.
Wayne Hotel was a little gem tucked into the main street. It was quiet and charming. The complimentary breakfast was fresh and pleasant to the eyes. You only ran into staff when you needed them and they seemed to just appear. The refurbishing was well done. We loved our antique key in place of the 'credit cards' offered everywhere. The elevator may have been a blast from the past but the stairwells were the finest I have climbed.
A great value at the Expedia weekend rate of $129 per night. The Wayne Hotel's boutique elegance envelops its guests the minute you walk through the door. A short distance from the Villanova campus, it's perfectly situated for shopping and dining. The only drawbacks: the hotel turned off the water @ 10am the day we were checking out, ruining a planned leisurely morning; our room wasn't cleaned until 5:30pm during one night of our stay and the hotel maid cracked a new can of shaving cream when cleaning the shower stall (but offered up a travel size of Barbasol as a substitute). Continental breakfast more than made up for these shortcomings. Although we didn't dine @ Paramour this trip, it is a fabulous restaurant. We will definitely be back!
The Wayne Hotel is more than a hotel, it is an experience. The rooms are spotless, and the details are beautiful. Charm exudes from every part of this historic hotel, and the staff and owners provide service from a bygone era. It is worth every penny.
We have stayed here with our two children as well as by ourselves and their kindness and warmth extend even to the smallest travelers.
The Wayne Hotel is a lovely place to stay in a lovely small town. The rooms have ample space and are romantically elegant. With a train station close by, it is an easy 1/2 hour to Independence Hall in Philadelphia, which is the end of the line--a shorter trip for other locations in downtown Philly. There are quaint shops and a variety of nice restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. The hotel also has a fine dining restaurant connected, with many tables available on the front porch for outdoor dining. We highly recommend this hotel!
We stayed there for 5 days. It was quiet, very comfortable, and had an excellent and popular restaurant. The hotel is located on the busy main street in Wayne. The bar also appears to be popular with locals and was often very noisy, affecting the atmosphere in the restaurant. The parking space was shared with the bar and restaurant patrons and was occasionally full when we returned from excursions. Apart from these minor irritations, this was a fine hotel experience.
Tiny room, but nicely maintained. No way to watch TV in bed unless you turn head 45 degrees. Dinner alone in dining room a mixed experience. Entree brought out while appetizer still being consumed. Water bottle just far enough away on the table that I had to half stand to reach it to fill my glass. The wait staff was very busy that evening. Parking very limited. If you miss the spots allotted by the hotel, you have to move your cae by 8:00 the next morning.
Beautiful hotel, mixed with low quality details such as plastic cups. Serviced by young, inexperienced employees. The free continental breakfast was not well presented.
